Publisher's Summary

When your parents name you and your three siblings after flowers, the world is stacked against you. At least, that’s how Aster Lavender feels.

The youngest daughter, Aster always keeps her head down and lets her siblings stand in the spotlight. She sells her gourmet doughnuts from Hole in One, the small drive-through stand in sleepy Homer’s Bluff, Kansas, and daydreams about seeing the big beautiful world. Love is never going to happen, especially when the only other lesbians in town are already married to each other.

Beautiful Brynn Garrett arrives to fill in for Homer Bluff’s only veterinarian, and suddenly every pet in town is sick. Brynn’s older, smarter, and way out of Aster’s league. Plus, she’s only in town temporarily and definitely running from something. Aster didn’t plan for a connection so strong it knocks the wind right out of her, but Brynn makes her feel like anything but a wallflower.

Stopped listening at end of Chapter 12

The is the second Melissa Brayden book in a row that I have stopped listening to before the end. I have had a hard life with lots of trauma and I can’t root for weak immature people.

Perfectly Sweet

This book is a perfectly sweet, slow-burn romance that made me laugh and then broke my heart only to pick the pieces right back up. I love it so much that it will be listened to again and again.

Beautiful story!

This was a beautifully written book as well as beautifully narrated.

I was totally engaged in the story and the angst between Aster and Brin’s insecurities and love for Aster.

Totally beautiful!

Relaxing like Lavender

Melissa Brayden is back to original stories. The best book since the Savvy series in my opinion and Lula Larkin is a delicious discovery, love her voice and narration. She makes a huge difference in this story. Can't wait for what this due will come up with next.

Couldn't understand Brinn

The story moved well until Boston, then it made no sense to me. It was like fighting quicksand for 5 years then suddenly being teleported to Shangra La.

Lula Larkin was awesome as always.

Dr Brynn

Wow i really loved the book but I hated how Dr Brynn treated Aster...she didn't deserve it at all...I didn't get it!! the ending was awesome. Lulu brought the characters to life...so good!

Waste of 6 chapters.

Friend zone between Brynn and Astor for life. I'm writing this at the end of the 6th chapter. Lost respect for Brynn by the minute. only kept listening for another chapter or two for Astor.

Good Story!

I usually like MB books, and this was no exception. When we meet Astor Lavender, she is shy in social situations, but a genius in her donut-making business.she meets Brynn, the new, but temporary veterinary and sparks begin for both of them. Of course it is the journey for both characters that matter and it is told well. MB has developed to caring, emotional, but guarded characters. The story is well narrated by Lula Larkin. IMO, it is a winner!

Breathtaking Love Story

The Last Lavender Sister is a story I didn't know I needed and loved from Chapter 1! The story unfolds in a way I didn't anticipate and kept me captivated with every word.

You won't regret choosing this wonderful tale of love.
