Not bad

Overall, this is a good collection of Agatha Christie stories, some new and some I'd heard or read before. But I have been spoiled with full cast performances or narration by Hugh Frasier, so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. But at least the stories weren't 'updated' like some collections have been.

same stuff, different book

I've read these stories before. I have been spoiled by the excellent narration in other Christie audiobooks. This narrator is ok, but doesn't compare with Fraser, Moffat, Suchet and Hickson

Classic Agatha

My only complaint is the lack of break between stories. If you space out for a second at the wrong time you are suddenly in a new story and a little lost. But very enjoyable and there’s always the rewind button.

A real pleasure

Listening to these stories, most of them little masterpieces, reminded me of the year I bought a collection of Stephen King stories. In both cases, the writers surprised and delighted me with their range, their talent and their skill. Agatha Christie is a masterful short story writer—she creates characters with so few strokes that you don’t even notice. When she’s not working round her major sleuths, the stories get even more interesting, and when they depart from the puzzle formula, more so indeed. I enjoyed “The Red Signal” for instance, and really loved the story about the cat … whose title does not do it justice. Fenella Woolgar’s reading takes it over the top. She’s wonderful. Definitely didn’t disappoint

Enjoyed

You can skip the first story but I had a wonderful time listening to the rest. Great narrator.

Delicious Agatha Christie buffet

What a great audiobook! The stories in this collection are varied -- some are spooky (a new side of Christie, for me), while others have fun with people using spiritualism for dastardly ends. The narrator is PERFECT. She has a gentle, intelligent delivery that's a pleasure to listen to,, and she brings every character vividly to life; I even love her Poirot. You get a lot of stories for your money here -- tragic, mysterious, and light-hearted -- and they’re all enjoyable.

Great spooky Christie’s

Enjoyable read, some stories I’d never read before including one that is one of her very first stories. A couple Poirot, a couple Marple but most just standalone. Some legit pretty spooky (last seance, dressmakers doll, the fourth man). Some excellent, some just ok but Christie is a master with the short story and it shows here.

I love, love Hugh Frasier but I disagree with people who didn’t like this narrator. I thought she was excellent.
