Publisher's Summary
From New York Times bestselling authors Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison comes a riveting thriller pitting special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine against the head of a private space agency who has the power to end the world as we know it.
It’s Bastille Day in France, and the private French space agency Galactus - France’s answer to Space X, owned by the eccentric treasure hunter Jean-Pierre Broussard - has just sent a satellite payload into orbit. Billed as a “communications” satellite, it harbors a frightening reality: a nuclear electromagnetic pulse has been hidden aboard.
In days, when the satellite is in position, Galactus’s head and Broussard’s second in command, Dr. Neveah Patil, will have the power to lay waste to the world with her EMP, and create her own immortality with the Holy Grail - the stones of the heavens and the very treasure Broussard has spent his life searching for.
The countdown has begun, and Special Agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine will go down to the wire to stop this heinous attack. With their signature “nonstop action with enough realism to keep you thinking and scare the daylights out of you at the same time” (Suspense Magazine), Coulter and Ellison have created a thriller to take you on a breakneck and breathtaking journey

I want more of both fbi series. I worked law enforcement for over 30 years, I find the intrege fascinating. I worked and trained with agents as a bomb tech. Although the story lines are "out there", it's great to enjoy something other than the real world as I knew it!

Decent narration. Garbage story
This is a case of following a series and expecting every story to be good. This one was garbage. I suffered through waiting for some surprise or amazement. Nonetheless i was disappointed to the end. The end that offered no freakin closure for one of the plot lines.

Imagination Buster
I have enjoyed many Catherine Coulter novels and loved the idea of a Brit in the FBI. But the trend in the last two books of this series, and especially in this one, involves preposterous plotting. That is my humble opinion. Loving mysteries as I do, I know it is possible to write them without going into a parallel universe. Such stories are simply not enjoyable ( for me) as they ask me to suspend all connection to reality.
The narration is very good; enjoyable. And the characters are truly likable! I root for them! Wish I could say the same for the plot. Please, please, come back to earth!

Heart stopping
I am not sure if I hope this was the last book in this particular series, or if I can't wait until the next one. Non stop action is the norm for Nick and Mike, and in this book . . . OMG! There was more than once where I was holding my breath wondering, will they make it? This book was very aptly named, The Last Second. Those heart stopping moments generally came down to "The Last Second!" But as usual, with a little help from their friends(?) they make everything work. Usually in unorthodox ways, like shooting the motherboard, but it worked. I think that is what makes these stories so fun. That and the awesome talents of Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews. I know, I have mentioned them before, but they are really that talented. I marveled in one scene where MacLeod was acting about four or five different characters. Repeat four or five different voices IN ONE SCENE. They all had different accents and it sounded like an entire cast rather than one actor. I marvel at these two! They make a good story even better!

Another Winner for Coulter & Ellison
This book is filled with action and adventure! The Fib’s kept me up all night, again. I really like the exotic places that they work in, I keep grabbing my iPhone to look up where in the world, or out of this world, they are now.
From NASA to the Malaysia Air Force to France’s Air Force, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat . I cannot wait for Mike and Drummond’s next adventure!
