Wow what book did these people listen to???

Because I thought the stories were FN great! They were interesting, spooky, different. There's A LOT of crap out there. Trust me. I know. But this is not one of those collections. There are some very good ideas here. Please do more audiobook short-story collections author!

And I also liked the narrator as well. Had no problems with her.

I'll definitely listen to this collection again.

Quick and dirty short stories that definitely fill you with a sense of horror. Decent narration, though not the best I've heard. Overall, a great addition to my short horror stories library.

Next time get a narrator who can pronounce

Such good stories read by a poor narrator. Please letter her know, for example, that it’s “written” and not “wri-en, etc. Really took away from the listening experience.

Horror galore

Definitely packed full of gruesome horror tales, the narrator was ok not terrible but I would have preferred a mix of narrators to break up each story as they seemingly bled into one another so you don’t realize at first you’re listening to a new tale, there’s no logic to the chapter break up, it would just have been more enjoyable if there was a clear indication of the new story taking place, otherwise the stories were great!

Cliche and unexpressive

I'm pretty sure I got this for free, but I still paid too much. I'm finishing the book purely as a lesson for what to avoid in my own writing. This feels like a first draft.

Pronounce your “Ts” !!!

Interesting stories, some positively outre! If It wasn’t for the narrator dropping the “Ts” in so many of the words, I would have enjoyed it much more. That was extremely annoying!

Love the stories, not the narrator so much.

I absolutely loved these weird and unusual stories, however the narrator’s inability to pronounce the letter “T” in the middle of words drove me nuts. Nevertheless, I have listened to this collection over and over while cringing when she says words like “per-in-ent” instead of pertinent, and “bu-ens” instead of buttons. So if you don’t mind the narrator’s regional pronunciation of certain words, you will love this collection.

Pause please

I really enjoyed most of these stories, but absolutely hated the way they all ran together. The stories at times seemed like a run on sentence. While the stories themselves were good, the performance was good, but I really didn’t care for the lack of “a pause” between them.

Needed a different narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. The narrator ruined it for me.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Again...another narrator. She is like listening to a machine. She did not do the stories any justice. The stories were good but the narrator made it just sooo boring that I had a hard time listening.

Good Stories - Really bad narration

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I couldn't listen to this book in one sitting. I hate writing a bad review, but the narrator was so bad. She was monotone and stiff, and honestly, I thought it was a machine reading the book. It was really hard to listen to.

Any additional comments?

The stories were good, but they would have been better with a better narrator.

Not bad

6.5/10. OK stories. Great narrator, but a male probably would've been a better choice in this instance as the stories were told from a male's point of view.

Not Bad

I found the stories likable enough, however as mentioned in other reviews I think it could have been narrated better. About halfway through I had begun a game of how many times the word however was used and it kind of ruined it for me.
