Story
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Publisher's Summary
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a horror story by American author Washington Irving. Written while Irving was living abroad in Birmingham, England, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was first published in 1820. It is among the earliest examples of American fiction with enduring popularity, especially during Halloween because of a character known as the Headless Horseman believed to be a Hessian soldier who lost his head to a cannonball in battle.

Favorite classic 🎃
A great October listen with a magnificently scenic description. I'm a fan of the movie, but wasn't sure I would like the book as much. I was wrong! This book is awesome! And Roberto's creepy sounding portrayal of characters is perfect. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

The narrator is well spoken and really places you in the story. It's short, but well-told and engaging. Recommended.

A classic for a reason
Certain Books last because they are written well and tell a story that does not age.
That is certainly true here....it is a story that is just as fresh as when it was written.
The Narrator delivers a good performance to enhance the enjoyment of the the Book.

Great telling of a classic story
This is a beautiful narration of an incredibly creepy classic tale. My son and I absolutely love this version. Roberto Scarlato did a great job bringing Washington Irving's old fashioned way with words to life. It's a timeless story and this audio version pays a nice homage to it. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking to read this book for pleasure or for studies.

A Great Classic!
This is one of my favorite classic stories out there. I prove this by having three copies of this book by three different narrators. I will have say that I enjoyed Roberto Scarlato's reading to the other two. His voice is a nice low voice that to me really fits this story more than the others. I would suggest you check out the various narrators before you choose which version to get. I am not disappointed with any of the copies I have but I found I prefer Mr. Scarlato's voice best so far. Of course the story needs no explaining, it's Sleepy Hollow!! A great classic and I will suggest this version to my friends over the other two I own.
