Publisher's Summary

Combining heart-wrenching emotion with edge-of-your-seat tension, New York Times best-selling author Charles Martin explores the true power of sacrificial love.

Murphy Shepherd has made a career of finding those no one else could - survivors of human trafficking. His life’s mission is helping others find freedom...but then the nightmare strikes too close to home.

When his new wife, her daughter, and two other teenage girls are stolen, Murphy is left questioning all he has thought to be true. With more dead ends than leads, he has no idea how to find his loved ones. After everything is stripped away, love is what remains.

Hope feels lost, but Murphy is willing to expend his last breath trying to bring them home.

Praise for The Letter Keeper:

“A man broken by events beyond his control accepts the challenge to walk dark ways in order to bring the lost and helpless home, but he comes close to losing himself in the process. Despite the hardship and heartache, Martin’s story shines with the light of eternal hope.” (Davis Bunn, writing for Christianity Today)

“It is unequivocally, hands down, a remarkable read. It’s everything you want (and a whole lot more) from a sequel ... Y’all better get ready. Like I said last time, clear your schedule. Then read this book ...front to back. There will be more sweaty palms, fist pumps, tears, and laughter than the first one. I promise.” (Charlie Martin, Charles Martin’s son)

The Letter Keeper

Mr. Martin could not possibly write a bad novel. I am so enthralled with his writings that I have no need of tv or movies. The Murphy Sheperd novels are great due to the information, the way the story progresses, and Jonathan K. Riggs reading of them. It is a difficult subject for many to listen to. As a person who is constantly travelling, I believe it is a story that needs to be told. Human trafficking is being politicized and people do not take it seriously. For many years the posters of missing children have been growing at an alarming rate. I thank Mr. Martin and Mr. Riggs for bringing this to light in such a kind and informative way (as kind as it can possibly be). God bless all who have made these novels available and many thanks.

Boring

Made it to chapter 22 and finally gave up. Never ending dialogue between characters with no plot.

Wow! So good!

Totally worth the wait! Very painful in many ways and hard to listen to at times. Lots of backstory that I absolutely loved!

Ends on a cliffhanger though. I’m upset I rushed it because who knows how long I’ll have to wait for the next book.

I wish there were some quality info and tips about how to help victims of trafficking and how to stop these sickos or at least increase awareness of these situations. I’m no commando, but I’ve got eyes in my head and a phone and want to help.

Disappointed

Was really excited to get the second one but disappointed that it wasn't as good as the first. He copied whole passages from the first book into this one so it was repetitive and the leading character was more vulnerable and seemed to not be as clever or responsive as in the first book. How many times can he get shot and beat up without dying. Hated the ending although there seems to be a third one coming out.

Charles Martin does it again!

What a gifted author! He, once again, has written a heartfelt story that has produced a full range of emotion! Unfortunately, this story is too close to the truth. Thank you for bringing to our awareness of the evil that exists. We do know our God is greater and will keep searching for the one.

AMAZING

I love anything from Charles Martin! It’s the most intriguing, surprising, beautiful love story in a clean and wholesome way. He reminds us of the evil in the world but shows us that God’s love is greater! You won’t want to miss listening to either one of the books in this series!

Spell Binding

Charles Martin has done it again. I couldn't put this book down. The ending is a perfect setting for a sequel.

Another fantastic book

Truly enjoyed this book. Looking forward to the next one in the series. Charles Martin has such a way of getting a deeper message across without ever making one feel like they are been preached at. He is a very talented writer.

Gripping from cover to cover

I love the way Charles Martin brings characters to life, they are living, breathing souls with beating heartbeats, that leap from the pages into your heart. His books never disappoint me. I'm ready for book 3.

Riveting!

I could not put this book on pause - but to sleep.
Beautifully woven story, characters and message. And absolutely necessary and timely regarding bringing the reality, although brutal, of human trafficking. We need more books like this.
Just awesome!
Thank you.
