Publisher's Summary

I thought I was a useless witch whose only weapons were a switchblade and a mean disposition.

I thought Zak was a rogue druid with waning power and an alluring aura that's impossible for me to resist.

And I thought my fae familiar was a harmless shape-shifter who chose me because I'm "mildly interesting".

But nothing is what I thought. Nothing is what it seems. Including me.

I need answers, and I need them fast - before I sink any deeper in the quagmire of secrets I've fallen into.

The Crystal Druid's. The Winter King's.

And my own.

I love this series

I have been fascinated by the “Crystal Druid” since he made his appearance in one of the other books of four series in this same world that are interesting interwoven.
Saber is aggressive and angry a bit too long before she starts “evolving” but overall it’s a great series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Each series has a different flavor to it which I really like. My favorites are split between Kit’s more humorous telling as a Warping Magipol agent. And I adored the Demon series. (These demons aren’t like religious demons, more of a different species from a different world.) And of course the original series that started it all and based at the Crow and Hammer. They’re all good. Again, it’s interesting to see how the stories intertwine as they move along.
Annette Marie’s writing has sharpened up a great deal since the first books as well.
Love it!
Narration was fine. I didn’t notice it much, which makes it successful narration to me. It’s fun stories for pretty much any age but clean enough for YA but not whiny teen angst so it’s annoying to adults.

Great addition to the universe

Is it possible there are magical therapist? I feel as though the main character needs one desperately.

another great one!

another great installment in a series. I love getting to learn the history of some of my favorite characters and watching it tie back into the main tail is a treat like candy on my brain.

This book OK, Sabers character still the same.

I had high hopes for this book after reading book 1, but instead of book 2 being about the Crystal Druid it was still about Saber and her messed up additude towards others. After listening to this book where there is No growth in Sabers character, I do Not think I will continue this Series. Saber is not a likeable character, though I really do like Riker. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the Storyline.

Annette Marie is The Best …Again

This book is very entertaining, expanding the world Annette Marie masterfully has created with interlocking stories.

Badly edited

Absolutely great story and performance, but the first letter(s) of lines are often missing, presumably because of sloppy editing. Still very much worth it if you like the series, though.

a strong second part

as before i warn that this is not the apropriate place to start the series.

the story is primaraly a jurney of self-discovery for the POW carakter rose. what little action there is are used well and the main source of sension is dialoge.
Saber helpfully points out important conclutions later but you can still find them yourself if you are paying atention due to the series strong consistent fiction.
As before the book explores the spiritalus class this time with a fokus on druids and the ways they function.
the fey also get a fair amount of time and are with 1 exeption full charakters in their own right. i woud even go as far as to say ryker has managed to surpas lielethiet as my favorite fey charakter.
lolakai fair less well, seeming to simply "be there" but i suspekt she will get more fokus in the nekst part.

the naration is as always exelent but she simply cannot portray zakariah nearly as well as he came off in klits book.

if you are interested in either saber, zakariah, ryker, fey or druidry this one is well worth your time.

Loved it!

It held my interest, had me wanting more and more. I personally didn’t love the Warped series and was a bit tentative as I usually love Annette Marie thought this series I have loved so far.

Powerful & Magical

I think this sequel is an improvement on the first. The new characters are fleshed out and grounded. The storyline is impactful, lots of angst, trauma and crazy magic. It's not a relaxing listen. Hoping Sabre and Zack find their own version of peace in their relationship and new selves.

Loving the series.

By far one of the best series I have listen to so far. Loving it. Love the characters. Love the universe. Love the unrelenting twists and turns and power struggles. The quips. Of all the quips are my favourite. Hanging on the couch edge of my seat for the future endeavours of everybody in this fantastic world.

Zac Strikes Back

Sabre and her merry crew of magical misfits continue on their quest for awesomeness. Encountering Heinous Fae Beasties and Emotionally crippling flashbacks.
The tale continues in earnest. It's No Less Than You Should Expect.
Ms Dukehart does a splendid job Narrating this, very entertaining, Mythic Fantasy.
