I’m the wrong guy in the right place the night I steal Tatum Bradshaw from another man. When she mistakes me for her blind date, I decide she deserves a man who shows up on time...like me. Once I confess my true identity and convince her I’m not a creep - just a thief - it’s only a matter of time before my sexy smile and quick wit claim her heart, her hand in marriage, and the perfect life. Unfortunately, perfection is an illusion. When 30 seconds destroys everything, I have to find a new existence and keep my promise to always love our daughter, Lucy, the most.

Reasons why I should not be drawn to Troy Serrano. Number one: He’s obnoxious. Number two: We were enemies more than a decade ago. Number three: He’s my friend’s ex-boyfriend. I could go on and on, really. When my boss gives me an unwanted assignment, and tells me it involves spending time with the grandson of one of our residents, the grandson turns out to be Troy. Lucky me. Four hours a week of having to deal with his insufferable personality and unsolicited advice - the only consolation is getting to stare at his annoyingly gorgeous face, in between our many arguments.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

It’s been five years since I’ve seen him. An unexpected event takes me back to the place where it all began.
But I’m no longer the naive young woman he once knew. And he’s no longer the man who took nearly everything from me.

Fantastic
It's as good as the first. Great character development. I was sometimes annoyed with Reese's character, but I think Jewel does a great job of accurately representing young adults and their emotions. Honestly, I can't get enough of Jewel E Ann's books. Worth every penny.

Run..don’t walk!!! I loved this book so much, the first book was good and full of young angst but this love story was just wow! JEA’s character development and writing style is so beautiful, you really get to love all the characters including the ones you don’t really like. Think a modern day The Notebook with more humor and a good amount of spicy thrown in. I highly recommend!!

I seriously loved everything about this series. Fisher & Reese are like no other couple. It’s amazing to see how Reese’s relationship with her mom & Rose evolves. So much laughter, love, great banter, and a few tears. Timing is everything especially with a love that is meant to be.

Loved all the emotions, just not the journey
Okay, back to this review. I was quite curious to see what direction this book was going to go in especially with how everything went down in the first book. And while I did like this significantly more than the first, this duet was simply not my preferred read.
I kind of went into this a little bit blind and the synopsis doesn't give away too much, but will definitely make you wonder. And I did not expect THAT.
I did like Fisher in this book more than the previous, however, because of what recently happened to him. It sets things in motion towards tropes that I absolutely do not like.
They haven't been together nor talked for the past 5 years. And something pretty rough brings them back together and their story picks up again.
As much as I loved that Reese has grown up so much and is no longer that naive 18-year-old, I couldn't love her in this. I didn't like her actions when it came to Fisher and just the overall situation. I don't know, a lot of lines were crossed and it's a weird/tough situation. I couldn't even get on the side with all the supporting characters like his family because they were pushing too hard for something that maybe shouldn't be happening.
Anddddd, a huge issue was the way it ended. I loved the epilogue in Fisher's POV, but there were some major things that needed to be discussed before they got together... and they were just brushed under the rug, never to be talked about again.
I wish this worked more for me, but it didn't happen.
Narrator was great, I really enjoyed them in the first book of this duet. So I had no doubt it would have been the same for book 2.

Fisherman Duet!!!❤
The Lost Fisherman is the exciting sequel to The Naked Fisherman. A entertaining and fun listen. Lots of heart and humor. I enjoyed this one even more than the book one. Humor weaved into the storyline dealing with angst and drama. A great follow-up to book one. A great ending that wrapped up this duet great.
Tia Rider narrates this second part of this duet just like the first. Picturesque, easily visible. Her tone is connected with the characters thoughts and feelings.

So, so good!
Those freaking last chapters in Jewel E. Ann books. Like with the first book, I was good throughout most of the story, but then – bam! – when I came close to finish listening, she brought in the big guns. Emotions galore. Cue the tears. The random tearing up even after I’d already finished the book. It’s a gift, honestly.
In this second part of the duet we got a much more mature Reese. And not only that, she shed her strict catholic attitude too, which was a relief (says this catholic girl). Now, she’s five years older … but it’s not only her who has changed, Fisher is different, too …
This slightly forbidden second chance romance truly brings all the feels. It’s sweet and funny, heartbreaking and sexy (Fisher’s dirty talk!!), messy and complicated, sad and passionate. All of it delivered in an amazing, flowing writing style that I couldn’t get enough of, and beautifully brought to life by Tia Rider.
I know it won’t take long until I’ll pick up my next Jewel E. Ann book. She got me hooked.

Beautiful Series!!
This is the second book in the Fisherman series. Fisher and Reese's story continues where the first book left off. I loved the first book, and this second book is an amazing conclusion to Fisher and Reese's story. The storyline is emotional, and intense, filled with angst, twists and turns, and romance. This is a beautiful second chance to love, and I loved it! Tia Rider did an excellent job with the narration. I highly recommend it.

Conflicted on how to feel
3.5 stars Honestly I'm conflicted on how to feel. (No spoilers) There's things about this that I loved, how fast paced it was, how raw and how I truly couldn't put it down. There's also things I didn't love so much that I can't say for spoilers and such. But what I will say is that I finished this in less than a day and as the credits roll, I'm a little sad that it's over. So I would say overall its a win, but I know this book, this Duet won't be for everyone, but if you like this author and you made it through The Naked Fisherman, then you should give this a shot.

When I read the naked fisherman (book number 1), it didn't impact me as much as I would have wanted however the ending to that book made me jump to grab this book and it did not disappoint.
This isn't going to be a detailed review as I don't want to spoil anything and believe me when I say, it is nearly better going in blind (although I would 100% recommend reading the previous book before picking this one up, as it is a direct continuation). This book takes place 5 years after the naked fisherman and wow what a change. The character development throughout this book is incredible. I loved how mature Reese became and how sweet and funny Fisher is.
I will admit the ending is by FAR my favourite part of this book! It was complete perfection!
Overall I enjoyed this audiobook

REDEMPTION!
I’m not even going to lie, JEA had me on the hook with the ending of The Naked Fisherman. And I simply wasn’t sure.
But. I can admit when I’ve been wrong, and my skepticism was definitely unwarranted. I KNEW BETTER.
Reese REALLY came into her own in the time between these two books, and her view on the world was MUCH more realistic. Wisdom definitely comes with age.
And while this was also all from her POV, I really felt our fisherman this time. And that epilogue really sealed it for me.
The narrator slayed this one and gave me everything I was looking for.

What a conclusion!
What a book! I loved the first book, and this conclusion just proves to me how talented Jewel E Ann is. It picks up 5 years later, Reese comes home after hearing Fisher was in a terrible motorcycle accident. A lot has happened in this time, from both having relationships and growing as people. But when Fisher wakes up, he has amnesia, and while he likes his fiancé, the connection that Reese has with him is undeniable. He may not remember, but he knows what he wants. The question is what will happen if and when his memory returns? This book has a bit of everything. Second chances, the remnant of taboo, witty banter, and a romance that I just kept rooting for! Reese has proven to be quite a woman. Her passion for her job is refreshing, and I love the stories she brings home. Her love is pure, and I love her dream of finding her second chance. Fisher is still the swoony man I fell for in the first book. He is innocent yet experienced, romantic yet awkward. I love Fisher and Reese, and all the people who surround them with love and support. It's a fantastic duet!
Tia Rider finishes out the duet with her fabulous voices. She is relatively new to me, and I have fallen in love with her talent. Each voice perfect for the character, her nuances and inflections perfectly placed and her pace easy to listen to. She is a pleasure to hear.

** ALL THE STARS **
Like a hyena with a juicy bone, I wasn’t putting it down till it was done!!!!!!
This review is super difficult because most everything I can say will ruin the book for you. What I can say is that I cannot remember the last time I read a book from cover to cover and let the entire world go. I was literally obsessed. Jewel is a masterful author and managed to create the most compelling book I’ve ever read without ridiculously over the top characters you dislike or eye-roll worthy situations written just to make you upset. She just literally made you FEEL throughout the entire novel whether you were laughing, crying, yelling, etc. It was REAL and honest and beautiful.
Her writing has always been amazing to me. Every book is unique and different and every book is a masterpiece but what makes her even more amazing to me is that every book tops the last. She is growing despite, in my humble opinion, already being one of the best authors out there. I am always excited to get my hands on a new Jewel book. This duet is SO WORTH YOUR TIME!!!!
My top read of 2021 toppling the one that sat in that position for 6 long months (and no, it wasn’t a Jewel book). Now, I’m not saying book one wasn’t fabulous as it too got a 5-star review, but goodness, this conclusion was exceptional, therefore, ALL THE STARS. 5 isn’t enough. The narration was perfect.
