Publisher's Summary

Having defeated the monstrous foe lurking at Erro's doorstep, Hugh swears to do whatever it takes to protect his new home and the beautiful women he loves. Toward that end, he seeks to form troubling alliances against a common foe, only to discover that nothing is as it seems. While no man, beast, or fae can stand against his blade, shifting treacheries and revelations threaten to destroy everything he values.

But his every attempt to find a solution is thwarted by the oath he swore to the Lost Reavers. What hope for peace when your soul belongs to beings consumed by blood lust? What chance for a better future when their every demand is for destruction and death?

Hugh will have to face the seething darkness that is the source of his terrible power and decide: just how much evil is he willing to commit to save the ones he loves?

Warning and minor spoilers: This is an 18+ book intended for mature listeners. It contains graphic sex, medieval violence, and harem relationships.

One of the authors best works!

Our "ridiculous" hero comes crashing down to earth under the weight of all the challenges and enemies that stand before him. Even the source of his powers comes into doubt as this wonderful tale of a man and his companions, constantly fighting against the odds while somehow gaining as many followers as enemies, comes to ahead.

I really hope this series continues, as every book, stakes are raises, realistic characters are developed and explored, the world is revealed and passions grow hotter!

I highly recommend this book to fans of high fantasy as well as those who fancy as much heat and passion, as blood and violence, as this book has both by the lorry full.

Also, Tess Irondale absolutely smashes it, doing Hughs voice and other male characters without any issue, while giving the main companions each there own individual voices. Basically, she should narrate everything I listen to from now on.

Excellent Book

This adult adventure book by Mike was really Good, it was an excellent sequel to Book 1. It had most of what I enjoy in these types of novels, The Craziness of Battles, Intrigue, Plot Twists and Hot Sultry Ladies....I Cant Wait for Book 3.

Heart wrenchingly fantastic novel!

Loved this book! Excellently written. A definite must have book for your collection. Do yourself a favor and get these books. Just cause they are basically the equivalent of a movie rated MA, doesn't mean it's strictly adult. It's an absolute fantastic well written fantasy novel, with adult material. Mike Truk is a very very good writer. I have heard all his books on audible, and they are all great!
