I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
This books starts very slow and I kept drifting off in the beginning. So I came onto this wonderful site of Goodreads to see what everyone thought and they loved it and said how it was a character driven story. So I took it for that and loved it myself. The main character reminded me of Eleanor Oliphant, where you just find yourself cheering her on as you fall in love with her. So glad I kept listening! #heartfelt #familylife #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Engaging
There's something engaging about this story....it's predictable, the main character is a bit prickly and perhaps too defensive, but the supporting characters are great ( especially Archie and Nathan) and the plot has some poignant moments. And after reading it, I'm very tempted to get a "favorite first line" tattoo 🙂

One of my favourite audio books
I don't usually write reviews as I never know what to write but this book is worth the effort. The characters come to live effortlessly and you soon find yourself into the shoes of Loveday, the main character without even noticing it. You feel sorry for her but again you don't as she is so strong and likeable. I had never listened/read to a book more than once but with this one, I just had to (a couple of years between the 2 listens). I must say the reader has a lot to do with it as I love her voice and delivery. I certainly hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
