Life-changing literature.
I loved the audio version so much, I immediately went out and bought the unabridged book. You can have a life changing experience if you truly take what Dr. Schwartz says to heart (listen and apply).
Topics covered are:
~How to develop the power of belief
~Steps to build confidence and destroy fear
~How to think and dream creatively
~Ways to harness and develop your ideas
~Managing your environment
~Improving relationships with people
~Turning defeat into victory
~Using goals to help you grow
~How to think like a Leader
...and much, much more.
If I could only recommend one book to you, this would be it. What do you have to lose? Is the risk of wasting $8.95 more important than possibly finding success and happiness for the rest of your life?

This a great book
I loved this book and every so often go back and listen to it again as there is so much inspiration in it. Yeah, I know some people say it's just a load of self-improvement mantras rehashed into a new pot, but I love the way it's presented, the change in voices, the changes in tempo and you can't help smiling once you've been listening to it. My only minor niggle is the 'plastic' music used to divide the sections - but I'll forgive this for the feel-good factor.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Magic of Thinking Big to be better than the print version?
I have been a student of Personal Development for over a dozen years, this is a great "starter" book.
Have you listened to any of David J. Schwartz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no
What did you learn from The Magic of Thinking Big that you would use in your daily life?

This is old school, things have moved on!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Had this book provided some grounding and research as to why the author was suggesting to do the things he did then it would have been parallel with many more contemporary offerings. More substance would have improved this read immeasurably.
What was most disappointing about David J. Schwartz’s story?
A talk at you approach of old school American, motivational "positive mental attitude." When there are such great books around about the psychology of how our mind works and how to control, ("The Chimp Paradox" by Steve Peters for example) this left me cold as it just felt like a bunch of buzz words and nothing more
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator was okay, fairly easy to listen to but given the type of book it was the content which was at fault more than the narrator.
What character would you cut from The Magic of Thinking Big?
None
Any additional comments?
It just feels as though this book is now out of date. Research and evidence is what is required. Its a big title but little more. A real shame!
