Hey, there! Name's Jerek. I'm not very fast, not very strong, and my best friend is a dragon with a bit of a gut. We're underachievers, but somehow we've become some of the best relic hunters in the galaxy. At least I have a bit of fire magic, so I'm not totally useless. Publisher's Summary
Enslaved and Forced to Fight Dragons
This box set contains over 2,000 pages of epic space fantasy, and tells the complete saga, with a real ending. Yes, we also have a roleplaying game, and a sequel series!
“If you grew up playing D&D, Rifts, Spelljammer, or Starcraft, and want to see magic in space done right, then get ready to lose the next sixty hours of your life.” — The Author’s Totally Biased Friend
Tech Mage (Book one)
Aran awakens in chains with no memory. He’s conscripted into the Confederate Marines as a Tech Mage, given a spellrifle, then hurled into the war with the draconic Krox and their Void Wyrm masters.
Void Wyrm (Book two)
Major Voria stands ready to accept the cost for her actions at Marid. Stripped of command and resources, Voria must find a ship and rally a crew. Somewhere within the Umbral Depths lays a hidden world, a world that the dead god Marid intended her to find.
Spellship (Book three)
Voria, Aran, and Nara survived their trip into the Umbral Depths. They retrieved the Talon, and are now searching for the First Spellship, the key to victory in their war against the Krox. Their search leads them to Virkonna, the home of the Last Dragonflight, a world where Dragons still rule. The world where Aran was born.
War Mage (Book four)
The Krox have finally reached their end game, and the sector will never be the same. Their relentless fleet darkens the skies of New Texas, home of the fabled Ternus shipyards. Their only hope lies with their sworn allies, the Shayans. But the Shayans refuse to help.
Krox Rises (Book five)
Nebiat has seized godhood, and now controls Krox, the most powerful elder god in the sector. Both Ternus and Shaya know she is coming, but their preparations cannot save them. She launches a strike at Ternus that cripples their home world, and shatters their fleets.
Nefarius (Book six)
Krox's assault on Shaya has been foiled, but the cost was bitter. Ternus lies in ruins, its gravity doubled by a god. Shaya is a paradise, but one populated by a mere handful of survivors. Only one power strong enough to oppose Krox remains...The Last Dragonflight.
Godswar (Book seven)
Nefarius has risen. She is implacable. Unstoppable. God after god is fallen and consumed, and each time the terrible dragon-goddess grows stronger.
One possibility of victory remains. Aran, Nara, and Kazon discover their true purpose, left by the elder god Xal when he planned for his own demise. With this contingency they have one chance to oppose Nefarius. One chance to stop the goddess that will devour everything.

Waste of money
I had hoped the long omnibus book would be a good deal, but it was a total waste of time and money. I could not suspend my disbelief. There a few good books that mix tech and magic. this is not one of those books.

Combined SciFi and Fantasy saga with some comedy
I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
TLDR - The author created an original universe with dragons, demons, magic spell pistols/rifles, and much more, combining SciFi and Fantasy in a humorous and entertaining way. The characters are great, and most grow and develop excellent backstories and the series goes on. There are book recaps at the beginning of each book, which I found highly entertaining. The narrator does a great job with all the voices and giving each character a distinct voice. And, there are a ton of characters. I really liked the way he voiced the dragons. Overall, this is a great series, and an incredible bargain at 65 hours for one credit. More detailed reviews below.
Due to this being a multibook compilation, my review of later books may include spoilers for previous books, so please stop reading after my review for book 1 if you’re worried about spoilers.
Book 1 is a truly original sci-fi/fantasy story, with magic, dragons, power suits, and zombies. It has a captivating start that held my interest throughout the novel. The author did a great job writing the characters, and I grew to appreciate all of them, but Sgt Cruz was definitely my favorite. Especially since his lines are generally the funniest. The narrator did a great job with the characters’ voices and accents. It sounds like he really gets into the story, especially in the more action-oriented parts. Overall, this is an excellent listen if you're looking for an action SciFi/Fantasy novel with spaceships, dragons, and stuff.
Book 2 is a great continuation of the story. It’s fun to watch the characters grow stronger. There is excellent character growth all around, both in terms of fleshing out their histories and personalities and in strength and power. Sgt Cruz is still my favorite character, but Ikadra (spelling?) is a close second. The story still moves along at a good pace, with action throughout the whole novel. I’m excited to dive into book 3.
Book 3 is another awesome installment for the series. Sgt Cruz needs to step aside because Ikadra is my new favorite character. There is still character growth, but it’s mostly in Aran, Nora, and Voria. Unfortunately, most of the other characters are kind of static. They do grow in power, but they don’t really develop as characters. I am worried, with all the power that the main characters are gathering, that by book 7, they will have all the answers to everything and there won’t be any struggle. All that being said, this was still a highly entertaining book, and Ikadra provides some great laughs, pew pew pew. More talking weapons, please. Now, onto book 4!
Book 4 is a pretty big change for the series. All of the stakes are raised, and we’re looking at the big picture now. There’s a ton of stuff going on, and even the so-called “good guys” (term used very loosely) can’t be trusted. We’re introduced to a few new characters. Erica, the reporter, is great. Speaking of characters, we see tons of character development in this book, easing my complaint in the previous book. This was a very enjoyable book, and I’m looking forward to book 5.
Book 5 is my favorite book of the series so far. There’s more Cruz, more Ikadra, and more Shaya, who are all great characters. Cruz totally rocks some masculine magenta armor, like a boss. We have a ton of character growth, and as with previous books that means both in power level and character development. Character growth includes ships and weapons as well, so I’m looking forward to the back-talking weapon that was promised to us way back in one of the first book recaps. I Can’t wait for book 6 to see what kind of shenanigans Nebiat and Nefarious get up to.
Book 6 is probably my least favorite of the series so far. The author introduced mechs, finally, which was awesome. But, this one has a ton of politicking, which I don’t enjoy as much as the action and comedy. There was a lot of plot building which is probably necessary for the big finale, coming up next! Ultimately, it’s difficult to top book 5 for me. Onward, to the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny!
Book 7 provides a thrilling battle royale style conclusion to the saga, with tons of action and fight scenes that have been getting built up for several books now. In the last couple of hours of the book, I found myself not wanting to pause at all and staying up late to listen to just one more chapter. Overall, it was a great listen and a satisfying conclusion to the series.
The narrator does a great job giving distinct voices to all of the characters, and there are a ton, over 65 hours. I only found a couple of mispronunciations (library and soldering) which is impressive in a book of this size. I especially liked the voices he used for dragons, and his accents sounded great too.

Good but, Narrator can't speak english.
So, Aron is not pronounced Erin or Airin. You can't spell Airin backwards and get Nora. You can't spell Erin backwards and get Nora. The Narrator says some sort of Airin or Erin pronunciation. Aron is said as "Ar On" not "Air On" not "Ehr On". The name is ARON and it pisses me off the entire book because he can't read a simple name. He doesn't even have a weird accent. Just Can't speak English. Sigh... Other than that. It is a good book but hell it is ruined with this.

Worst book I ever downloaded
I wanted this to be good. I mean this material for one purchase, how bad can it be? Bad enough to be the only book i have ever returned on Audible.
I kept hoping it would get better. Then it didn't. And didn't. And didn't more. Actually, it just got worse. Finally I gave up. What happened to the characters? I don't care, and neither will you.

Frustrated to an extreme
I get a lot of people love underdog stories but, it gets old. part way through the second book and, I had to Express my dissatisfaction. this world is a mess. there at war with a supier for. but, the most powerful people don't care at all. imagine fighting space dragons without your boss giving you poor weapons and no real support. Then when you overcome all odds. You get punished and, looked down on.

Amazing series
Hands down the best scifi fantasy blending I have ever read! Guns, magic, techs, spaceships, and dragons in space and spell weapons and armor. It has the magic of old blended perfectly with space and advanced tech with dragons flying through space. Fast paced, grip on the edge of your seat that will make you love the good guys and the bad. I binged these books and they were totally worth it.

An exciting blend of science and magic
With sneaky touches of humour, many referential chapter titles and other nods to contemporary films and literature.
The whole sequence of these books are a delight from start to finish. Well-crafted interwoven story lines leave you never feeling burdened by one set events without balancing it out with another set.
This is not a heavy series that you have to think deeply about , nor is it ‘fluffy’ and easy to dismiss.
I listened to the whole lot pretty much in one go. I could not stop listening.
The old-fashioned ‘good vs. evil’ narrative has you rooting for our heroes pretty much from the get-go.
Overall it is a feel-good series and one worthy of your time.
I’ve purposely not included anything about the story in this review as I don’t want to spoil anything for you.
I will say though - DO NOT SKIP the prologues and other “Author’s notes.” Some are seriously funny!
I am now officially a fan of Chris Fox.
Oh, and the narrator, Ryan Kennard Burke, totally nails the parts of the characters!
I’ll be listening to all the books he narrates too.
I hope you enjoy listening to these books as much as I did.

An Amazing Listen
This was an amazing series. Fox writes with an elegance not many others I read have and his work is brilliant. Though I did feel things dragged in places, it is a minor nitpick and not one I feel would lower my rating at all. Next, please!

Totally Enjoyable
Before I joined Audible I would never have considered myself a reader of Dungeon and Dragon style books!........but I've now discovered a whole Sub Genre of SciFi that combines Science Fiction, Wizardy and the like in a manner that I could have never imagined.
There were times during this excellent epic where I did to be honest, briefly lose track of who was who, doing what to who but that was probably because the Characters, artifacts and more often had similar sounding names and the like. A very interesting and unusual facet of many of the Characters was that they seem ever evolving into more than they started and that in itslef was a nice slant. Swords (or Rune Blades if you wish) Staffs and Maces that have theit own life and voice I also found a great addition.
Whatever way I thoroughly enjoyed this saa and and I know that in the future I'll definitely listen to again.

Worth the credit for sure.
Wow just wow 65 hours of listening. Amazing and a perfect bargain for a Hunter the story is definitely unique many great characters to get to love and of you like space dragons and old school magic then this series is for you! The only downside for me is the author can quickly change what's going on in the story without much explanation, so for me I felt a little lost as some situations weren't explained in depth but rather brushed over. But that's just a small nitpick on my end however I still loved this collection. The narrator also does a fantastic job of bringing it all together.

The definition of great idea but poor execution
Magic meets space travel sounds awesome but the characters are super generic it has a predictable plot and stunted dialogue. That being said the writing style is enjoyable and some of the themes could have been interesting
All in all I hope the auther keeps writing because this could have been one of the greats
