Publisher's Summary

Three mischievous matchmakers. Two lonely hearts. And one last chance at a happily ever after. Don’t miss this heartwarming short story from New York Times best-selling author Carolyn Brown.

Meet Minnie, Dotty, and Stella—all retired and year-round residents on a cruise ship, they have dubbed themselves the unofficial matchmakers aboard. Minnie can ferret out a lonely woman by the second day of the cruise. Dotty can spot an openhearted man all the way across the Lido Deck. And Stella is great at putting a plan together. Together they’ve been every bit as successful as one of those online dating sites, and they can watch the romance unfold right before their eyes.

The trio face their biggest challenge yet when an unusual pair makes it onto the 10-day cruise to Alaska. Ava and Vince are on the verge of a divorce and have no idea that they’ve each booked the same cruise to think things over. Now, with a little help from the Matchmakers, they're about to discover that every great voyage has its storms—and love means weathering them together.

Cute story

Clean romance; enjoyed the Southern accents. Nice break from WW2 novels; the older ladies & the older man were right-on!

Great short story

I really liked this one. I wish there were more chapters or another book with the 3 matchmakers. They were hilarious and this would be a great series with lots of adventures. The narrator did a great job as well with all the different voices.

Cute

I love second chances. This was a cute short story. For being so short it did rather well at developing characters. Well done.

A little cheesy but harmless

A sweet but fairly implausible story about an estranged couple who reconcile on a week’s cruise with the help of some elderly matchmakers. Still, it’s a sweet and harmless story that can provide entertainment for a few hours. The narration was good and the ending is satisfying. It’s SFW and there are no embarrassing moments for someone to overhear. The marital troubles were definitely something that could happen and I liked the resolution. The husband made too quick of an epiphany, although you could argue that having his wife leave him was a big wake up call. I don’t want to give away any more spoilers. I recommend if you’re looking for something short and sweet!

Was expecting less description of suffering

I thought this would be fun ,the 75 yr old ladies matchmaking, but it was about a couple on a break from each other with descriptions of the emotional pain & thinking about their relationship troubles from the wife & husband's point of view, some dialogue was unrealistic. Narrator was okay, male voices she didn't do so well though..Not as funny as I expected, more sad, awkward & boring, stopped listening at chapter 3.This was under wholesome & clean but the beginning chapter was more adult that I thought it would be... I like this narrator but couldn't bring myself to finish it because of the plot. The Love LInes Series on the Plus Catalogue are so much better.

Weak story and terrible performance

The story was weak and lacked imagination and the performance was poor. If the reader is going to do accents they need to be good. This was comedic.

Short and sweet

A little book (thank goodness included in the membership) interesting story and easy to list too. Sad part is I want to find out how the couple faired.
