Story
The tide is turning against the colonists in the Revolutionary War, and 18-year-old Elizabeth Morris cannot sit by idly. Quietly disdainful of her Tory parents, who drag her along to society events and welcome a British soldier into their home during their occupation of New York City, Elizabeth decides to take matters into her own hands. She realizes that, as a young woman, no one around her believes that she can comprehend the profound implications of being a nation at war - she is, effectively, invisible. And she can use this invisibility to her advantage.

Story
For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

The acting was bad in this. I gave it 5 minutes before I quit. The dialogue was okay, but butchered by the acting.

Thought Provoking and entertaining.
Even though this was a story about the future, I thought this was exceptionally poignant and resonated with the issues of today's immigrants and displaced persons. The author blended humor and pathos that moved the story along at a rapid pace while still effectively communicating a strong message. I am going to search out more works of this writer as I think they have a unique style and talent that tells a story while leaving the reader with thought provoking ideas. I really enjoyed this audible and would like to see this in a movie or play.

Well paced, funny and great performances.
It’s not long and had enough to say to have been worth developing. That said, as an embryonic allegory rather than a mature one, it’s very well done and the small cast are uniformly excellent. They all have some funny, often poignant lines and they do not waste them.

Excellent performances let down by poor storyline
The performances are well done especially as they have to give reality to some pretty clunky lines but overall I just didn't get on with the storyline, finding it superficial and empty. Getting to the end I was left with an overwhelming sense of thank goodness that's over. It didn't inspire me to read/listen to any more but for other listeners it might be exactly what they want - over an hours worth of light entertainment. If so, I heartily recommend.
