Publisher's Summary

The dedicated social worker

Dumped by her boyfriend and passed over for a promotion, Diana Miller is sick of always being a good girl - and always finishing last. When she meets an attractive stranger at a work event, she sheds her good-girl persona, and sets out to seduce him.

The jaded enforcer

Like most Minotaurs, Mac Bodie keeps to himself and never lets anyone get too close. He adheres to a strict relationship code: hit it and quit it. Mac can't believe his luck when Diana throws herself at him, offering a night of no-strings, tangled-sheets fun. What could go wrong?

Their night of passion leaves Diana sated and ready to focus on her career. But Mac finds it harder to let go. Diana hasn't just rocked his world - she has triggered something unexpected in him. Something that makes him question his lifelong aversion to that fated-mate mumbo-jumbo.

When Diana gets a chance to prove herself at work, she thinks it's the perfect opportunity to re-launch her lackluster career. Except her new protector is also her super-clingy Mr. One-Night-Stand!

Contains mature themes.

Nice and interesting take on shifters

This story has a different take on how shifters were created. It was interesting and a very pleasant BWWM shifter romance. It is hard to find good BWWM romances that have good narration. This book actually has a great narrator. I enjoyed this story very much and have already gotten the next book in this series

Could not finish

I try to finish every book or audiobook I read or listen to. This one started off good and went downhill from there. The narration was not good and that threw the story off. The hero was too needy and whined worse than any female. He got on my nerves and I couldn't take it anymore. I'll pass on book 2.

It's just okay - Maybe I choose the wrong genre??

The narration was pretty good and helped the story a bit, but I just couldn't get into it. I gave up with about 2 hours left to go.

For me personally, It was ok

This is the fourth book I've listen to that the black women had to have European ancestry. It is so annoying that media, books and this society keeps implying that, no man would want women of African decent unless they were mixed with another race. It is ridiculous since one of the parents had to be Dark skinned, since they claim to have "brown skin" in all the books. It is such a disappointment!! I as a dark brown women have had no problems attracting White, Asian or other men. Please stop the madness!!!

Why this narrator?

I liked the story but was hard to pay attention to the narrator. I found myself rewinding all the time. The issue for me is the protagonist is a young black female and the narrator is an old white lady, even the dialogue falls short.

Ugh

Well at first I thought this was going to be a good listen, but then it ended up being a disappointment. The cliffhanger didn’t leave me in wanting to know what was going to happen next . Such a disappointment

Kept My Interest Piqued!

I was only expecting the the mythological/supernatural aspects of the book. When it began with sci-fi, I knew I would love it! I was right. Loved it!!!
