Story
Through the story of the unprofitable and lazy servant in ancient Babylon, Michael V. Ivanov provides a unique perspective on the classic parable of the talents. This book provides concrete advice for creating a successful and purposeful life while fulfilling your destiny and becoming the person you were created to be. While many people are burying their dreams, talents, skills, and abilities in the desert, like the unprofitable servant did at the beginning of this story, the successful are investing in their skills, talents, and abilities.

As Adolf Hitler and the Nazis seduced a nation, bullied a continent, and attempted to exterminate the Jews of Europe, a small number of dissidents and saboteurs worked to dismantle the Third Reich from the inside. One of these was Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In the first major biography of Bonhoeffer in 40 years, New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas takes both strands of Bonhoeffer's life - the theologian and the spy - to tell a searing story of incredible moral courage in the face of monstrous evil.

Publisher's Summary
Combining courage, faith, wisdom, and wonder into an inspiring tale of self-discovery, The Mount of Olives takes listeners for an emotional ride through the life of a boy who's search for better becomes a discovery of something extraordinary.
Michael Ivanov's masterpiece tells the story of Felix, the Roman boy who despite all opposition, yearns to gain a worldly treasure. His journey will lead him to riches far different - and far more satisfying - than he ever imagined.
Felix's quest teaches us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognizing opportunity, and learning the golden principles strewn along life's path, and, most importantly, to follow our dreams.

Amazing book!
Personally I am not really into books that have a lot of preaching points and motivational bullet points, but reading mount of olives, I loved how the life principles weren’t just preached but modeled in the main characters life. It wasn’t an author trying to convince you to adopt his way of thinking, it was a testimony of a persons life and his journey to become a successful and happy human being. Really well written!
Really motivated me to apply all these principles that he learned throughout his journey.

Time well spent
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I was recommending to others before I even finished it. I have written down the 11 Declarations in my journal in an attempt to put to memory and put into action. Through this adoption of the declarations, I will create the same life lesson that Felix adopted into his life. Regardless of the outcome holistically, these declarations inherently are good and if more people lived by them our world would be a much more peaceful and different place! Perhaps heaven on earth!!
Thank you Mr. Ivanov for this wonderful story.
