INTENSE!!!!
I'm not sure where to begin reviewing this book. This is the fifth book in the Jane Hawk series (sixth if you count a 2 hour short story). It is definitely NOT a stand alone! If these books are not listened to in order you will not know what the heck is going on!
These books add up to one very long extensive story that is part sci-fi , part mystery, part suspense and completely engrossing!
I'm really writing this for anyone who has never listened to any of the books in this series. If you've listened then you're probably already hooked like I am and there's nothing I can tell you anyway. If you haven't listened to this series, What are you waiting for?
Elisabeth Rodgers is the voice of Jane Hawk. Her delivery is spot on!
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Dean Knootz never disappoints. I discovered him when I found a book in my local library that featured a golden retriever (my favorite breed). After reading that book (The Watchers) I was hooked! The Jane Hawk series may be over (?), so I am eagerly waiting to see what Dean has up his sleeve for us next. Steven King, you are a close second, but Dean rules!

Loved it!
The Jane Hawk series is now one of my favorite of Dean Koontz, who happens to be my favorite author, although he is my favorite author, if it wasn't good, I would say so, but I enjoyed these series of books 100 percent! I just say, the narrator is what really makes the story come alive, I really felt that she was Jane Hawk herself, and even better, I could always tell who was who, so I never got lost or confused with the story line. Keep the books coming Dean Koontz, and hopefully Elizabeth will be the narrator of a few of those!

The Night Window
Looking to get your teeth into an absorbing series? Well...
Plot. The Jane Hawk Series consists of five books based on a diabolical cabal of crazies whose objective it is to own the minds of mankind. They created an algorithm to identify those among us who are leaders that may become a threat to the objective. To get the best and brightest out of the way, they are injected with controlling nanotechnology that forces them to commit suicide. Jane Hawk is an FBI agent and her husband is an early victim. Jane has an obsessive drive to determine the truth and stop the nightmare. She soon becomes the most-wanted fugitive in the country, on the run with her five-year-old little boy. Thus is the thrust of this series.
To avoid plot confusion, start with Book 1, The Silent Corner, and read the stories in sequence. Book 2 - The Whispering Room, Book 3 - The Crooked Staircase, Book 4 - Forbidden Door, Book 5 - The Night Window. All are in the area of fifteen hours of listening, give or take, and released from 2017 - 2019, narrated by Elisabeth Rodgers.
Liked. There is that "what-if" element to ponder. What if this was possible? Yikes! There are some wonderful characters that Jane meets in her journey to the truth. Some hair-raising events that you're certain will be the end of Jane, but she keeps moving. Page turning in sections. Squeaky clean reads, no sex, no objectionable language - just good mysteries.
Not so hot. Nothing worth mentioning.
Narration by Elisabeth Rodgers is great, male voices included. She "is" the voice of Jane Hawk!
There is one more story that includes the character of Jane Hawk, The Bone Farm. This is a short, two hours of listening. Although it is more reveal of the character of Jane Hawk, it is not relevant to enjoying the series. It's okay, a nice story written mid-series but the events take place in an earlier timeline, early in Jane's FBI career.
Recommended. Enjoy!

Dean Koontz still has it.
Loved this series. Wondered how the story could end as there seemed no viable solution. Where as the ending was a “little” on the grand scale, it works. Koontz has quite the imagination and I for one am glad it hasn’t failed yet.

BRILLIANT!!
So way out, it was believable, a brilliant story line with amazing narration. There were many twists and turns, three or four different journeys going at the same time with references to the previous two books so nothing got lost. Fabulous book.

Good conclusion to the series
Ive read this authors works for years and years - 25 years or so - what impressed me most about this series, of which this book is the conclusion (l think?) is the author isn't young anymore, but my goodness his talent is endless, and he can be like a fresh breeze ….nothing stale or old in this. Others could learn a thing or two about writing, or about being extremely successful but not giving up or selling out when it comes to product. Koontz delivers.
Clever - nice, modern.... and still the literary charmer when it comes to stringing a sentence together.
Go for it, try the first and enjoy the rest.

A long haul
Average story with too many characters and far too many similies. Narrated in a single song voice that makes it difficult to stay awake.

So much suspense!
The Jane Hawk series has just been amazing to listen to, fantastic story and narration. I'm actually really sorry it's come to an end. There were quite a few times listening to this book that I gasped and said Oh no! out loud! it kept me on the edge right until the very end. Well done Mr Koontz! 👏
