Of especially naughty children, it is sometimes said: “They must have been raised by wolves.” The Incorrigible children actually were. Discovered in the forests of Ashton Place, the Incorrigibles are no ordinary children: Alexander keeps his siblings in line with gentle nips; Cassiopeia has a bark that is (usually) worse than her bite; and Beowulf is alarmingly adept at chasing squirrels.

Publisher's Summary
The finale you've all been waiting for: The Penderwicks at Last is the final, flawless installment in the modern classic series from National Book Award winner and New York Times best-selling author Jeanne Birdsall!
Nine years, five older siblings, a few beloved dogs, and an endless array of adventures - these are the things that have shaped Lydia's journey since fans first met her in The Penderwicks in Spring.
Now, it's summertime, and 11-year-old Lydia is dancing at the bus stop, waiting for big sister, Batty, to get home from college.
This is a very important dance and a very important wait, because the two youngest sisters are about to arrive home to find out that the Penderwicks will all be returning to Arundel this summer, the place where it all began. And better still is the occasion: a good ol'-fashioned, homemade-by-Penderwicks wedding.
Bursting with heart and brimming with charm, this is a joyful, hilarious ode to the family we love best. And oh, my MOPS - Meeting of Penderwick Siblings, lest we ever forget - does Jeanne Birdsall's The Penderwicks at Last crescendo to one perfect Penderwick finale.
Critic Reviews
"Penderwick fans will be saddened yet satisfied by Susan Denaker's narration of the series' final book. The crispness of her narration conveys the old-fashioned feeling of the close-knit family's reminiscences..... Denaker's verve expresses the delight Lydia and her siblings find in even the smallest events." (AudioFile)

Jeanne Birdsall writes my favorite series, she should make more books. An OK narration, but could be better. Overall, it is her second best book of the penderwick series, after the penderwicks on gardem street.❤️
