Publisher's Summary

The perfect girls' weekend turns deadly in this twisty unforgettable thriller that is perfect for fans of Shari Lapena and Riley Sager.

A girls' weekend to die for.

New friends Sam, Margaret and Diana are thrilled to be getting out of the city for a girls’ weekend - they’ve bonded over their messy divorces, and every mile on the odometer feels like another step towards putting their exes in the past. But when car trouble halfway into their trip strands them in the most unlikely of mountain towns, they come face-to-face with the hurts and betrayals they were so desperate to leave behind.

When Diana doesn't return home after a night out, Sam and Margaret's search for her reveals just how little they know about their friend. As eerie coincidences and secrets begin to pile up, and an ex-boyfriend arrives in the tiny town, the women realize that their detour may not have been a mistake...and that someone wants to guarantee that they never make it out.

Perfect Psychological Thriller!

I’m a serial listener, and am always looking for a fresh new listen. You can’t go wrong with this book. Totally held my attention and got more “thrilling” toward the end. Listened to it in two days. I will watch for more books by this author.

Too dramatic…strange ending

The voice of Margaret sounded a lot older than the character which may not bother some. I mostly enjoyed the book until about halfway through when it became more like a bad soap opera. I know it’s fiction and meant for entertainment but was just too much for my preferences. Also, moments of too much language…again, that’s just my preference but I wanted to mention it in case others would want to know. I don’t want to spoil the ending but the last minute twist at the end was odd.

If I have to hear about stretch marks one more time….

Cheesy, far fetched, predictable and boring. The characters are irritating which was only emphasized by the narration (mainly only Navarro but Vacker had me cringing at times too.) Wish I’d had passed on this one. A waste of a credit and time.

Don’t listen if you’re in your 30s

Seriously. This book will make you feel like a washed up old maid at 35. The main characters voice is like 20 years older than it should be, and all she does is emphasize how old she is at 36. This book must have been written by someone extremely out of touch, because every woman I know in her 30s will happily tell anyone that 30s is NOT old and, in fact, way more enjoyable than 20s. This just killed the book for me

The voice

The voice and narration of Margaret is HORRIBLE. If you can get past that it it actually a really good book.
