Keep 'em coming!

Blake Pierce has recently been releasing books from both his Jessie Hunt and Kate Wise series, it seems almost weekly.
The series are opposite ends of the FBI spectrum but both are worthwhile.
This book can be listened to as a stand alone however I don't recommend it if you want to understand the full story behind this story. Jessie Hunt is a profiler working for the police. Her biological father is a vicious serial killer, he wants her to join him. If she refuses he would like to make her his next victim.
This is a fast paced thriller. A little more character development with each new book. Some predictability but overall very entertaining.
Ulka Mohanty does a great job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

disappointment

ok story line but getting old because it keeps the issue between the daughter and father going instead of ending it and focusing on her growing profile skills. did not enjoy the narration.

Narrator

I didn't like the narrator. It seemed like it was her first time narrating. Laura did a great job! The book was great!

Excited for the new narrator!

This book in the series was the most enjoyable to listen to yet. Although I hope that the next book doesn’t have the same ending as the last 3 books. It would be nice to not predict exactly what was going to happen the last 30 mins.

Unnecessary recaps

New narrator, I liked the narrator from the first 2 books better.. It's a short book so I could of done without the excessive recaps of the first 2 books. Overall a good story

Do not like the narrator

The previous narrator was perfect, she is way too fast and emotionless. Otherwise as always amazing book!

Liking it!!!

This is my first try at a book series. So far the first 3 have been good and I am getting #4 without hesitation. Never thought I would read this type of series but I am pretty much hook. Seems to have a little of everything in each story. Even if you don’t read the series - seems the author catches the reader up by summarizing the story somehow in each new book of the series. Part of me would rather not have to hear details I already know from reading each one in order, but I guess for those who may not have the time or patience
to read each one - they are able to get each book on its own if read only.

Didn't enjoy the narrative

Olga M. is a fast emotionless reader. The story was good except for her narrative in a mundane voice. Not enough distinction in characters.

Repetitive story

The series is feeling quite repetitive now. Seems like a regurgitation of book 2. The ending was just too passive in places and far fetched for me too.

Follow-ups are always difficult....

Compared to the two previous books in the series, this one seems uninspired and "mechanical". It consists largely of recaps of the previous books and the personal interplay and interaction between characters - which were the strong points of the previous books - is replaced by your typical run-off-the-mill murder mystery.

If you've read the previous two, don't bother buying this one- You'll be disappointed.

Disappointed

A large percentage of this book was retelling the story of the previous book in the series.
