Story
A name–a definition–that was never supposed to be triumph, but a condemnation. A reminder of a certain place in the world–of a responsibility to the other living beings in the ecosystem. As second-in-command of the Predators MC, Tatiana Tate is well-versed in both the expectations and reality of sustaining her way of life. In the wake of a tragedy that shook the whole organization, she’s had no issues stepping into power beside her lifelong friend–her brother.

Jaclyn Love is a magnet for trouble - it seems to follow her wherever she goes. Unfortunately for Kadan Davenport, she also seems to be a magnet for him - even after a disastrous first impression that leaves him - literally - black and blue. Jaclyn is busy trying to find some sort of balance, and Kadan is just trying not to get swept up in the chaos. In a small city like Blakewood, it's hard to avoid each other...especially when each additional encounter makes them wonder if they really want to.

Sometimes, the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves. They build and build into a façade of transparency and false truth that we present to the world...until it comes crashing down because of that one person who sees right into you. “Just one more time.” “It’s not even like that.” “I’m not tripping about it.” “I’m fine. Really.”

When a sudden tragedy thrusts her into chaos, she expects to find herself mired in confusion, bereft, while she figures out how to pick up the pieces. Instead, she finds comfort, clarity, and - baffling - familiarity in the arms of Ellis Boyd. A stranger. A stranger who can’t help wondering if he knows Hailey somehow, met her somewhere, another time that they just can’t remember—the only explanation for their swift, consuming connection. At least, the only one that makes sense.

Love that says something, instead of just looking like it. Love you can always trust to feel like home. For both of them, it’s something that has always been just outside of their peripheral, something to be observed rather than experienced. A depth of feeling reserved for people who were “into” that, those with a different outlook, those more...deserving. Until their paths cross.

If there’s any one thing Pierre and Logan have in common, it’s their ability to invite snap judgements based on shallow views of who they are. Logan is the privileged only daughter of a respected family whose legacy runs long and deep. Pierre is the moody, orphaned son of big screen royalty who couldn’t possibly live up to the prestige of his pedigree. Or maybe not.

Asha's life is no fairytale, by any stretch of the imagination. There was no kind, generous father to care for and protect her from the Vegas that exists beyond the glitz and glamour of The Strip. No wise, doting mother to look over and guide her, passing down essential lessons and leading her to the right path. And certainly, no Prince Charming just around the corner, ready to rescue her from working late nights to cover steadily mounting bills.

Story
It all came down to me. The one who followed the rules, never went looking for trouble - I kept to myself. I just wanted to take care of my family. To not constantly look over my shoulder, worried about the things that went bump in the night. I just wanted to survive. But that wasn't meant to be. As luck - or fate, or something - would have it, the trouble found me. I followed a rabbit through the wreckage of a half-ruined world to get back what was mine, and wound up at the end of it. In Wonderland. But there's nothing magical about it.

For Naomi Prescott, it's not just a cute little saying. It's a critical mantra, words to live by if she wants to retain her freedom, and, more importantly, her life. Impeccable planning is the only way to ensure she sets off the small flutters that will trigger the big ripple she needs to pull off the score of a lifetime - no matter the stakes. FBI Agent Marcus Calloway is a straight-shooter...if you overlook his sometimes unconventional, law-skirting, expensive ways of solving a case. A big arrest would do wonders to restore his reputation, and he has one woman in mind: Jolie Voleuse.

Not a phenomenon Tempest could typically claim, but certainly the catalyst for where she’s landed. Not in peril, or pain, but in dire need of the very normalcy she’s often emulated, but never been able to obtain. This book is applicable to many people who must make a decision about health issues. I love that it shows the dynamic between friends when disagreements arise from decisions and the affect decisions can have on others. Both narrators did a wonderful job bringing each character to life.

Nice, just not my fav.
This was just okay for me. The story was nice, but I just felt like the character development was a bit rushed. It was like one minute the heroine just wanted to jump Luke’s bones, then all of a sudden they were saying the “L” word. I don’t know, it wasn’t this emotional roller coaster for me like other reviewers have described. I’ll keep it in my library though because I love CCJ.

Great Title For This Story!
I love life lessons of this nature, because it offers different and experienced but wise scenarios. Scenarios that will lead and help you make the best choice that will be beneficial now, later or in the near future. The characters were fun and on point especially Ben. What A Beautiful Story!!!
I thought I used up all my tears when I read the Serendipitous Love series. Oh, how wrong I was. Lawd, The Point of it All had me knee deep in feelins’ and crying buckets of tears. Why didn’t y’all tell me this book was so emotional?!!! I had to take several breaks, multiple times, while I listened to the book because the content was so heavy. Whew chile! I was NOT expecting a breast cancer storyline. While I admired Eva's self-assurance and strength when she was faced with everything she had to endure, I was also very upset with her for initially choosing not seek treatment. After watching her mama and aunt die of cancer after undergoing chemo, I understood her decision but, it still angered me. I didn’t understand why she refused to see why Luke, Justine, and Leon were so upset with for making that decision. I mean, come on! Who wants to sit idly by and watch their girlfriend, BFF, and ex-wife purposely die?!!! In the midst of her cancer diagnosis, Eva becomes smitten with Luke. Oh, I adored me some Luke! He was just amazing. He had such a caring and thoughtful character. And, he was the total opposite of Ben. Mama Georgia, Luke’s Grandmother, use to own the Honey Branch Winery and Vineyard Eva purchased. The winery becomes the catalyst to Eva and Luke getting together. When he finds out about her cancer diagnosis, they try to make things work under impossible and sometimes tense circumstances. Eva realizes her decision is really hurting the people she loves and she finally agrees to get treatment for her breast cancer. I don’t understand why CCJ would end this series with just two books. How on earth did Justine not get her own story?!!! She lost her husband while she was pregnant with Journey five years earlier and has been single ever since. Christine deserved a HEA! It just boggles my mind that she didn’t get her own story. Despite the heavy storyline and heavy emotions, The Point of it All was a phenomenal book that was beautifully written. CCJ managed to balance it with romance, humor, and pearl clutchin’ sex scenes. This book is why I am such a huge CCJ fan. Her ability to write amazing stories continues to blow my mind.

Great Story and Performance
I purposely stayed away from reads that involved sickness and death for my fear of triggering myself into a bout of sadness for over 6months now. But this series had been on my TBR for a well and I just had to see what it was about. Now the story talks about illness but it didn't trigger me because how well Christina's way of writing even heavy scenes had me laughing out loud. I did enjoy the audible companion to this read because I just love the narrator Wesleigh Siobhan. I loved that the story touched on a subject of what will be the legacy will be left behind once a person passes on. It truly is a consistent thought of mine. And some realities that our heroine - Eva - had to realize that touch home for me in this read.
5 stars as always Mrs. Jones sneaking a message in with the laughs.
***Complete transparency is that I read this book 1st thinking it was the 1st in the series. However I picked up quick on some of the background characters of this novel where the main character of the 1st book so I am going back :)
