Leonardo Da Vinci has a problem. A serious problem. He needs to finish a piece for the Pope - but doesn’t know how. Alas, figuring it out is no trivial task. In fact, nobody ever has. Of all the great and grand quests that humans have undertaken, none has been more attempted or elusive than gaining a comprehensive grasp of God. When seeking to know Him with the head rather than the heart, to rely on reason rather than faith, the obstacles appear insurmountable. Publisher's Summary
Would your character change...
if you had all the money in the world?
And all the time?
Would you become a better person?
Or worse?
Imagine Agatha Christie meets Michael Crichton in a fast-paced, philosophical mystery thriller.
There’s a secret in Silicon Valley. A discovery. An invention. One so startling and surprisingly sinister that it needs to be kept - at any price.
Tim Tigner takes a step back from his best-selling Kyle Achilles series to introduce Zachary Chase and Skylar Fawkes in a fresh stand-alone novel that’s bound to keep you glued and guessing. With secret meetings, sudden disappearances and strange murders, secret agents, skillful assassins, and sexy locations, The Price of Time is packed with fast-paced action and first-class intellectual intrigue.
Propelling the thrills and perched at the middle of the mystery is one of humanity’s great questions: Would finding the Fountain of Youth be a blessing?
Prepare for sleep-deprived nights and skipped chores while repeating the phrase: "Just one more minute."
Amazon named Tim Tigner an All-Star Author in December 2017 and every month since for being one of the most popular authors in Kindle Unlimited.

Nothing of substance
This book unfortunately falls short of its main idea's potential. The story's characters lack any development, and their physical and romantic fate isn't enough to excite me about listening. It's as if the author thought it would be good enough to just throw the CIA, ostentatious luxury, and murder in a pot. The murder mystery isn't compelling because there are too few real suspects, and it's completely disconnected from the main protagonist. The two separate story lines don't connect in a satisfying manner. I never felt like I knew the characters or cared about them. At one moment, I thought the book was giving me a terrific twist, only to realize that I read too much into it, and that there was no twist at all. I think the idea is great, but this treatment of it doesn't say anything meaningful through its forgettable characters. If you're looking for a truly exciting adventure, this is no Casino Royale...

Thrilling and Thought Provoking
The description say Agatha Christie meets Michael Crichton and that's surprisingly accurate. There are two interwoven storylines taking place, an Agatha Christie And Then There Were None style mystery mixed with a Crichtonesque thriller--solid cutting-edge medical science skillfully mixed with high-tension thrills.
Beginning with the author's brief note, this story has me rethinking the topic of immortality, or "halted aging" as one character called it. I like the way it stimulated my brain as well as my emotions. Few books accomplish that, entertaining while leaving you feeling like you've grown.
The narrator, who I recognize from the Dan Brown Da Vinci Code books, was a good choice for this specific genre mix. His silky voice worked well with all the mystery and intrigue and tantalizing revelation.
There are a lot of characters in this one, as necessitated by the mystery part of the plot. They're well rendered and you like both good and bad. The thriller characters are more typical Tigner, with compelling male and female leads and an antagonist you appreciate but love to hate.
My favorite part was the way the author brought the whole story full circle at the very end. A masterful finishing touch. All in all, another excellent read from one of my very favorite authors.

Note to self...
Note to self, never buy another book that is suggested in an Audible email. Reading a book with several characters and no character development is like reading a book with no paragraphs. You just get lost in a soup of words. By the time the fourth character died (or was it the third), it became clear I had no idea who was dead and who was alive. Neither did I care. You can't like every book but I am disappointed that Audible would promote something so poorly written.

DIFFERENT IN A GOOD WAY!
Many dilemmas (moral, etc.) are posited given the premise of the story. A "what if..." and many of the ramifications that come with it. How far is one willing to go to maintain the status quo.
It took me a while to get acquainted with all the characters involved, but once I did and could remember who was who in the story, it was easy to follow.
I was rooting for the underdogs all the way!
Paul Michael did a great job narrating, so it was an easy and enjoyable listen.
I liked the story, and I recommend it.

Interesting concept with some flaws
In The Price of Time, a small group of researchers plus their wealthy sponsor come upon a formula that will maintain their telomere length, thus affording them immortality. They then have to decide what to do with this discovery. Sharing it with the world would unleash global chaos, so they decide to keep it for themselves. The problem, of course, is one any vampire could relate to -- how not to attract attention over the years as everyone around them ages and they don't. Great concept, but then it goes off the rails a bit because instead of getting new identities every twenty years or so, they come up with a complicated plot that requires the hiring of a professional assassin to find a doppelganger for each of them, kill that person, and then assume that person's identity. In other words, these people decide not only to hoard immortality to themselves, but to become mass murderers as well, or at least be responsible for mass murder. To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that one of the dopplegangers fights back. The performance was pretty good - a couple of characters sound like old actors from the 1950s, but overall, I'd give this book a C+.

Started great but ….
I honestly thought this was about time travel and corporate skullduggery, it was neither. Stories about eternal youth usually have a 'catch' to them so I avoid such stories, but I liked the narrator and Zachary Chase so I continued. If it were not for those two factors I would have skipped this all together.

interesting story based loosely around ancient theories. Mortality is relative and modern society is controlled by immortals. Great writing and characters and I ended up wishing Tim would've written a happier ending twist with Skyler adopting Aria's identity.
