Top Tier

This book cements Primal Hunter as one of the top 5 best ongoing LitRPG series. The story is fantastic, the MC is likeable, the fights are entertaining, the progression is interesting and, as always, Travis Baldree's performance is genius.

I cannot wait for the next book

I am loving this series. Jake is a fun character, the side characters aren't unbearable and actually are providing some relevant story material. Jake is getting stronger and unlike a lot of other characters it doesn't feel forced. he has almost died a number of times, but knows when he can win or realizes his over confidence and tries to fix it.

My only complaint is that he doesn't write faster!

This is a great series. Well written with a solid balance of character dev, humor, action, strategy and plot. The narrator is fantastic, adding a force multiplier to the story. Really solid entertainment.

it's good

if you like the previous books in the series you're going to like this one it's a nice continuation and a good ramp up of the character more other characters and reduced and the smaller Catholic character said it's developing and their motivations is being developed further looking forward to see what this goes I apologize for any misspellings I'm writing this review with voice to text I hope it's helpful.

Seriously a great book with on going greatness!!

Book really stays to it's form, continual character growth, world growth. Really great book though and will give you no regrets buying this book in order to continue the story.

Stop!

waisted time can never be reclaimed. should have ditched this story entirely.
a droning, repetative narration of a boring video game with no conclusion.

Touch some grass, Zorgarth.

Pros: Pretty fun progression power fantasy continues.
Cons: Continued casual endorsement of might makes right genocide.

I look forward to the day the author figures out his MC can have an actual argument with his "friend." Man even had a perfect excuse to introduce some conflict at the end, walked right up to it with the MC's new profession preceding a flashback to a massacre, then said "Not today, character development!"

Maybe next time.

Fantastic

Leaving the tutorial into the new world I was apprehensive about where the story would go. The author kept the scope small and filled in the edges wonderfully. Looking forward to the next one.

This is great. But definitely not one of the best.

I have read a lot of light rpgs and fantasy novels This one was quite great but has several glading issues. The author kept changing the perspective to other characters to where about 30-50% (depending on the characters) was some one other then the MCs perspective. The author does not have the writing capabilities to make this engaging and the percentage was way too high.

The author needs to stick mostly with the MCs perspective until he gets better at making other perspectives engaging and meaningful.

This got better each book but the author had the tendency of blaring stats way too.often for the smallest changes. The stats take 2min 30sec to read off. It got better in the newer books but it still happened to often and always was too much detail.

The MC is really fun to follow and the concept of records is new and cool.

Still highly recommend but this is clearly not one of the "greatest" litrpgs. Not yet.

Good story, a little bit slow for my taste too much exposition, not enough action.

I enjoyed this book, and I still enjoy the series. I have to give this book for stars because I thought it was a little bit too wordy, too much sex position. The character of Jake is a little bit one dimensional. Yes, we know he’s antisocial, but his character needs to grow. There could’ve been some more emphasis on action instead of stats and alchemy. I know this is part of the core of the series, but there should be more balanced. now unfortunately, I have to wait for the next book in the series.

Absolutely amazing

easily one of my favorite litRPG a true credit to the genre, it brings everything to the table but doesnt go too into the whole saviour of humanity thing or looking after land stuff. a true combination of all my favorite elements and it only seems to be getting better!

have to say travis baldree is just the absolute leader in this genre aswell, atleast in my eyes a true winning combo.

Good but lack of plot progression

I love this series but this book has been the slowest so far. To me it feels like an in between book, something to get you from book two to book four. Book two also felt slower than book one to me so I'm hoping the next one will ramp things up a bit. As much as I enjoy the system and power progression, it doesn't do much for me without a real plot to drive things forward. The book is still enjoyable and worth listening to but I would have personally chosen to wait for the next book to come out and listen to them back to back since this one on its own just isn't doing very much.

Setting the scene

This has been a good third addition to the series. Some inner-monologing is creeping in but hopefully it won't reach the levels we currently have with Defiance of the Fall. It's still entertaining and this book is building for what should be good fourth book. This book has set the scene and is something of a bridging book but it was still very entertaining and it kept my interest all the way through..
If the author can keep the balance right between action and world building it should be good and I am looking forward to the next instalment which should be action-packed.

This is one of the best series of books. Loved the fact that even though the character is overpowered he still faces challenges and has pitfalls. his not just having an easy time. can't wait for the next book.

Great book epic narrator

I really enjoyed this audiobook the world is interesting, full of depth. I really like Jake and the fact he does things on his own without the need for a team. Solo litrpg are a rare treat.

There are some nice moments to counter the odd brutal incident, everything is nicely balanced. I liked that we got less of the personal angst and that Jake feels more at ease with the world. I am not a fan of birds usually but the hawks were a nice addition.

I enjoyed the alchemy aspect of the story. The odd bits of humour were well done.

The narrator did a wonderful job, beast sounds can't be easy but I thought they were well done. He deserves thanks for all his hard work.

A most enjoyable listen and I look forward to the next book. I hope the series won't end too quickly. If you liked the previous books you will like this one.

Never been in love so much with a baby bird

I think the book is awesome a solid progression from the second book. The only thing I have to say is that their was no real point at which I thought Jake was really challenged. Their was the bio dome but it was more about him making the poison. Looking forward to the next book already. :)
