Amazing

I have been vegan for 2 years, reading many titles and information on this way of life. This book is by far the best, educating, explaining and offering wisdom and support at the same time. A must read for everyone wanting to understand how plants are the answer to a healthier life and a better planet.

Education and inspiring book

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve followed a plant based diet for about 5 years, and I’ve never felt this well-equipped with information before. I know that I am already making better food choices and I have been enjoying some incredible plant-based meals recently. Everything tastes better when you know exactly how good it is for you.

A strong evidence-based case for plants

This book makes perhaps the strongest case for someone to switch to a plant-based diet. Everything is backed by science and research. The author is extremely knowledgeable and everything is cited and explained. The accompanying pdf is a great resource and a very useful partner to the book. I highly recommend this book!

Great information. Print a better option, maybe?

I'm a big fan of Simon Hill His podcast is great and he's extremely knowledgeable.

The information presented here is extremely interesting and valuable. For me, however, I found it hard to properly follow and absorb as an audible in my car while driving to and from work.

I've returned my audible and ordered the print copy.

Great introduction to Plant based eating

It’s a great introduction and very thorough. I can’t take anything away from this book. Great science, all fact based snd pragmatic advice. however, I found that I got more from ‘How not to die’ and ‘How not to diet.
I think my problem was, because the science is the science, I had heard it before.

Lost his credibility very early on

I was looking forward to hearing his no agenda take on eating carefully for humans and the planet. I absolutely get and agree with a significant inclusion of plants of a wide variety of reasons and I was looking for a nuanced discussion. I was sadly mistaken. He talks about the planetary impact of animals: their water use-age, their methane emissions and the ethics of killing sentient beings for food. For all his identification with understanding scientific papers, he has made some rookie mistakes here. He conflates precipitation over pasture with the actual amount a steer could consume, and industrial animal agriculture (who could agree with that?)standing in for all types of rearing animas for meat in all environments and countries and he essentially says animal agriculture is worse than that of transport and industry. Again a conflation of full assessment of life cycle emissions of cattle with simply tail pipe emissions of cars. It’s the how not the cow.

Everyone should read this!!!!!

This book was fantastic! if everyone followed a largely plant based diet, like this author suggests, we will live longer, healthier lives. this book explains why and how this is possible, and motivated me to change my diet into a healthy and sustainable lifestyle choice. I feel less bloated, lighter and more focused. this book will truly change your life for the better.

Packed with facts and encouragement

Facebook will be read at least one more time probably repeatedly it’s so full of information that it’s impossible to get it all in the first reading. Simon’s voice is very used to listen to and he lays it out in a way that really encourages change behaviours and eating habits.
