Story
This piece, formerly titled The Divine Conquest, was created as a sequel to The Pursuit of God. Admitting to having been forced by inward pressure and an unbearable burden to write it, Tozer's aim was to assure believers that if they want to know the power of Christ they must be invaded by God. "This little work of the spiritual way has not been 'made' in any mechanical sense, it has been born out of inward necessity.

Story
A. W. Tozer earned a legendary reputation as a prophetic voice, and he continues to be a best-selling author half a century after his death. A preacher at heart, he found his greatest joy in practicing the presence of God. Worship was his focus and his passion. His sermons were such strong declarations of what he discovered during private prayer and worship of the triune God that he had both the ability and the Spirit's anointing to move his listeners to wrestle with what God was saying to the church.

Prayer combines the best of Tozer on prayer into one volume. Tozer was captured by the great wonder of God, and he regarded prayer as the primary means of coming into his presence. But if our everyday life is filled with the barrenness of busyness and there is no serious urgency to pray, we forfeit the wonder of being conformed to the image of Christ and knowing our God more intimately - the true Christian life.

Every person on the planet was born for significance, created by God to make a difference in his kingdom. Fulfilling God’s purpose is a lifelong endeavor, but it comes with a cost. God is a perfect father who looks for chances to pour blessings into the lives of his children. But he is also a father who loves us and doesn’t want to increase our blessing beyond what we have the heart and maturity to carry well. What does it look like when significance is carried well? God is glorified, we are strengthened, and the people around us benefit.

Story
At the hidden center of man's being is the dwelling place of the triune God. It is such a private, intimate place that no one can intrude but Christ, and even he will enter only through an invitation of faith. Once the Spirit enters the core of the believer's heart and establishes residence there, man becomes a true child of God. But baptism, confirmation, receiving the sacraments, church membership, etc., mean nothing unless God has truly inhabited the soul.

Story
It used to be that Christians conceived of the world as a battleground. They believed in sin and the devil and hell as constituting one force and in God and righteousness and heaven constituting the other. How different it is today. People think of the world not as a battleground but as a playground. In This World: Playground or Battleground?, Tozer calls us to see the real world of the spiritual realm that lies beyond the physical that so ensnares us. The audio is short and to the point, abrupt but full of vigor, profound, and downright relevant today.

Few subjects invigorated A. W. Tozer like the topic of worship. He saw it - like the church has traditionally - as the sole reason for which creation exists. Worship: The Reason We Were Created features collections from the beloved spiritual writer on this important topic. The church's current worship is emaciated; its thoughts of God are too low. Here is a compilation to raise those thoughts high once more, and provoke the church to true, spiritual worship.

Story
Although never considered to be a popular speaker nor prolific writer, A. W. Tozer's audiences did appreciate what he had to say, and he was probably the most widely read Christian writer of his time. Keys to the Deeper Life contains six of his best-known essays and editorials. In them he rigorously examines many of the failings and foibles of his day. Although most were written more than three decades ago, the insights they offer are as fresh and thought-provoking as the day they were published.

Story
A lifelong pursuit of knowing God should embody the Christian's existence. According to eminent theologian J.I. Packer, however, Christians have become enchanted by modern skepticism and have joined the "gigantic conspiracy of misdirection" by failing to put first things first. Knowing God aims to redirect our attention to the simple, deep truth that to know God is to love His Word.

Publisher's Summary
To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily-satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem.
Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. Let A. W. Tozer's pursuit of God spur you also into a genuine hunger and thirst to truly know God.

Where can I find God?
Is he in a church, if so which one? Many churches declare themselves to be the only road to God. Aren't our bodies meant to be God's temple where He dwells within? Does he know my every thought? How do I communicate with Him? I want "A Closer Walk With Thee." Does God want to be with me? These have been my personal reflections most of my life. I am 70 years old, and this book has answered most of my questions. I will continue my pursuit, because I know I need my Lord, and now I know He wants me to live and rest in Him, too. "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."

Exactly what I always knew! but no church I’ve ever been to practices
I finally read the first book ever in my life that explains how to be close to GOD according to scripture that I always knew in my heart was the only way! ❤️ There was never a church, priest, rabbi, minister, pastor, or any religion i.e. catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Assemblies of God, Protestant, 7th Day Adventist, Evangelical Free, Apologist, etc. etc., since I got saved 25 years ago that could teach God’s word correctly because of greed for money and growth and materialism and rituals and building projects 😫
The hypocrisy and lack of real faith in today’s churches is comical at best! This book has brought me to a place where I am now more confident than ever in my faith in God and my walk. I now know the right way to pray for the religious Pharisees in the world today bastardizing Gods word for their own wealth! God doesn’t want our money or to use it to pay for 10 plus church staffs salaries and their entire families health plans either...so sad...God must be reeling to see the mockery many churches in the world today have made. They are supposed to be meek and only concerned with sharing the gospel to others so everyone’s hearts yearn to have a right relationship with Him and seeks Him not man💔 Nobody needs Bible college and degrees 🤦🏼♀️ in order to guide someone to God. God’s Holy Spirit was left with all of us when Jesus went home, it’s so simple it’s stupid 🙄

Wonderful book, extremely deep, probably too deep for the average American Christian.
I had to read it slowly, take time to meditate on each and every word, and after prayer fasting and repentance I had to agree with everything the man said. I regret that American church is not ready for this book. We tried to teach it in our Bible class, and it was not well received. Of course the reason was people were too shallow for it.

I felt the although this book was written in the 1940s, it was on hold until the Lord knew I needed to hear it in 2022. It was as the portion of Christ telling us of Meekness was written just for me and I cried as I repeated the section several times.
