teaches without being didactic
For whatever reason, I'm revisiting books I read as a kid and books I read to my kids when they were little. I love Kenneth Grahame's way of never talking down to a child in his books. For those who love a good animal character, this one about the dragon, the kid, and St. George is a classic and it teaches diversity and individual identity in a way that no school book could.

THE HAPPY BOHEMIAN DRAGON
THE SIN OF ROMANCING
I am normally a stickler for a dragon having an attitude, being selfish, etc., but I will make an exception for this story. I liked the story and I liked all the characters including the LAZY dragon. This is a fun read and teaches a lot about friendship.
narrator
Only four stars on the narrator, as he did not distinguish well between characters. At times I could not tell who was talking between the three main characters. It was not bad enough to stop you from listening to this. On sale now for $1.95 for almost an hour. That is less than minimum wage was when I was a kid.
