Story
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Few subjects invigorated A. W. Tozer like the topic of worship. He saw it - like the church has traditionally - as the sole reason for which creation exists. Worship: The Reason We Were Created features collections from the beloved spiritual writer on this important topic. The church's current worship is emaciated; its thoughts of God are too low. Here is a compilation to raise those thoughts high once more, and provoke the church to true, spiritual worship.

Many seek reassurance or perceived unity by creating doctrinal statements, but that misses the point. Doctrine is necessary, but it is not the solution. In his new book Until Unity, New York Times best-selling author Francis Chan tells listeners that the real problem is shallow or even nonexistent love for each other. Although the Bible commands unity, some will resist these unifying efforts. We see it every day. We have to hate sin, love truth, and pursue unity for the church.

Best-selling author Jackie Hill Perry, in her much anticipated follow-up to Gay Girl, Good God, helps us find the reason we don’t trust God - we misunderstand his holiness. In Holier Than Thou, Jackie walks us through Scripture, shaking the dust off of “holy” as we’ve come to know it and revealing it for what it really is: good news.

Publisher's Summary
Even as the sound of modern worship has grown louder, the heartbeat of true worship has grown faint. This is a call for those whose hearts burn to see it revived - who burn with reformation’s fire. Who long to see the purity of worship restored and the Lord’s house of prayer once again reflect the fullness of his glory and the wonders of his heart.
The Reset is not simply a book on worship, it’s an appeal to the broader worshiping community to once again re-order their lives and practices in accordance with the sacred and priestly calling they were given and zealously return to the heart of worship.

All Christ Followers NEED to read this!
This book is heavily anointed and comes straight from the Father’s heart. I believe every Christ Follower IS a worshipper and should read this- It does not matter if you are on a stage of any sorts or not. This book exposes the lies and the cultural influences and trends of today and shows us how to bring restoration back. It confronts the hot topics, encourages you, and ultimately draws you closer to Him. So let this book offend you (aka your flesh), and then get over yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to convict and minister to you. I will be reading this book a few times, just because there is SO much to digest and dwell on. This book has lit a fire within me and has made me want to be a better worshiper.
This book is so well done, I love that Jeremy narrates it and I can’t praise it enough. Thank you, Jeremy, for being the vessel and writing this book for such a time as this!

A sobering page turner
This book is as insightful and challenging as it is true. Not only did l find the content to be intensely thought provoking but the passion and urgency in which it was read made it next to impossible for me not to do heart checks throughout the book. l listened to the whole book in 2 sittings.
I'm almost positive there will be some level of pushback from multiple angles but since when is truth not met with opposition. GREAT BOOK...I highly recommend.

Vital listening for the whole church
Everyone involved in leading worship teams should have read this book. Anyone writing 'worship songs' for the church should read this book. If I led a team, I'd have every member read it and discuss the contents together, chapter by chapter.
Jeremy has articulated very clearly what has gone wrong in the church over the last 30 years, focusing on music and worship. It is written bravely with conviction and read with passion. It methodically outlines what worship is and what God calls us to as followers of Christ. It sets out healthy parameters for worship teams and brings the heart of what matters in our churches to the forefront. It calls out the hype and profit-focused behaviour within the Contemporary Christian Music / Worship 'industry', how these behaviours have formed and what we can do about it. Lastly, it offers a challenge to the reader - a call to a more radical lifestyle of worship.
I cannot recommend this book enough. "It's too intense / deep" is not an excuse for checking out on this topic if you genuinely care about your faith. If you're a leader of a worship team, you should read this and pay attention. If you're a worship pastor, you read this book and make no changes whatsoever in your team, you're not doing your job. Prioritise this.

Hugely challenging, at times uncomfortable and releasing.
I listened to this on the recommendation of a friend and I’m so glad I did. It couldn’t have been read as authentically by anyone other than its author. You can hear his lament and his longing for Jesus to be at the centre of all things, in every syllable. This is a call to purity and abandon in our love of Jesus and our pursuit of partnering with Him honourably in the extension of His kingdom.
Only read this if you are prepared to be deeply challenged.

We should have seen this coming
We should have seen this coming.
A reality check, ego deflation, blunt rebuke from a man that I believe intercedes the heart of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Yet all done in deeply zealous love for the body of Christ and the many parts.
Riddle dives into areas of corporate worship and the Christian music 'industry' that need to be held accountable to the values and lifestyle of Jesus, his word and the character of the Holy Spirit. Riddle makes himself vulnerable in holding up a mirror to himself and to all of us who are involved in any area of worship and asks the simple, yet so often forgotten question "Why do we do what we do (worship)?".
Status, fame, career ambitions, worldly conformation, compromise, borderline and downright blasphemy are exposed for what they are and how they have managed to creep into our churches and worship settings poisoning the hearts and minds of God's people and convincing us that what we're doing is pleasing to Him.
Yet this book is not a rant, or guilt trip. Whilst uncomfortable truths are exposed, it is an invitation to remember to invest deeply into the heart of worship, prayer, good theology, bible nourishment and relationship with the living God in order to tune ourselves to the Spirit when worshipping in any setting.
Many times whilst reading and listening to this book, I felt the Lord's conviction followed by his liberating grace. Conviction to shelve my agenda with worship and through God's grace align my heart at all times with him.
I believe this book will separate the wheat from the chaff. Many who read it will rate it highly, but in the words of Matthew Henry (Pilgrims progress) "Saying and doing are two things".

Must read (well listen I guess)
I cannot recommend this book high enough. Jeremy writes with such a fierce passion and conviction. He is so clear in his communication with the vision and topics that are so clearly God-given. This book is targeted towards anyone in worship ministry but is written in such a way that anybody who has a faith or is interested in a faith could pick up and read quote easily. Some of the points made are challenging and might confront some stuff in the heart but Jeremy writes with such a non judgemental and loving tone. Thank you Jeremy for being obedient to the conviction you had to write this book. It was such a blessing to read and it will be re-read every year.

A book for congregational singing
I thought he’d talk more about worship but it’s mostly about worship during performance, mostly for those that lead singing. It’s about singing which is what this generation calls worship. He’s passionate and I’m sure delights God very much as he attempts to lead in spirit and truth. If you lead the congregation singing it’s worth a read.

A return to a true heart of worship
This book has actually put an unwanted spotlight on the one group in the church that so often craves a spotlight.. Jeremy Riddle has "nailed" the elephant 🐘 in the room/church. I have heard
a worship team as they left a back room to go on stage.. calling SHOW TIME to each other. No it wasnt a prayer meeting they were leaving but a
raucous jam session that was 1985.. I cringed and sent a up prayer I knew God could work in spite of
the worship team And He did
A deeply moving work a must read for anyone in music ministry and their spouse .. To help keep them on the straight and narrow and not get stars in there eyes...
a must in every church library
