Publisher's Summary

As a rose abandoned in the desert, she's made a vow - she'll never go back to the way things were...a promise that was easier to keep before a thorn showed up. (This is not an audiobook centered around a love story).

Great Story But Incomplete

Per Christina's usual, the story was great and so were the narrators. HOWEVER, a good chunk of chapter 7 is missing! The recording cutting off so abruptly, and the subsequent conversation at the beginning of chapter 8, didn't make sense. I had to buy the kindle version to fill in the massive blank in the story. Quite annoyed, especially since I paid for a botched recording, but still a great story overall.

Left me wanting more…

The story takes you on the continuance of the Roses & introduces the Thorns. There were some audio issues throughout. I’m still committed to reading and following the story!

Where is the rest of chapter 7🤦🏾‍♀️

I never write reviews but in this case I will, this seems to be a good book. However it missing darn near a whole chapter what happened to chapter 7 and why is it such a long pause in between the chapters it’s a lot going on and this is the second series that CCJ has that I encountered this issue with smh.. 😡I’m asking for a refund of my credit this is unacceptable.

Chapter 7 missing ending

I think some of the story did not make it into Audible. It felt incomplete and lacking. I have liked almost everyone before this one.

Storyline keeps making me come back

I believe that I got a bad copy of this audio book. The audio had long pauses; jumped to different parts of the book.
In any case, I did enjoy the storyline about the thorns and roses. Enjoyed the narration of Eboni and Emmanuel. On to the next excursion.

Incomplete Audio

The story was great but the recording is incomplete. A portion of ch7 is missing. There are long pauses after each chapter. Hate that I wasted a credit on it.

Great Short!

I read this short a while ago. The narration was excellent by Eboni and Emmanuel. They brought the characters to life. CCJ as always does her thing with a pen!

This Is No Love Story But I Still Loved It!!!

The Rose That Got Away was action packed. Tamera and Wilder took us on a wild ride. Pun intended. Both of them are former operatives of the Garden trying to keep May and Amelia safe from a dirty wanna be politician. This story was a fast paced and packed full of action and mystery. We get to see more of Ace as she plays an actual role in the storyline. But, be warned. This is NOT a romance novel. So, do not expect a heartwarming story of two people falling in love and finding their HEA. The Rose That Got Away ain’t that book.

Poor audio

The performance seem to be good but the editing of the reading and transition was not bad. There were long prices in between chapters and characters translation. I don’t know what happen in the 7th chapter as it skipped to the 8th in the middle of a scene and the book ended. There are so many missing pieces to the store. What did he find in the box and how did this story end?!?
