Publisher's Summary

The Scandal is an all-new marriage of convenience, age-gap novel from New York Times best-selling author Kristen Proby, set in her Single in Seattle Series, featuring Stella McKenna!

Who knew that weddings in Vegas were the real deal? I certainly didn’t when I agreed to marry my coworker while on a bender in Sin City. Now, I need a quick annulment, which means I need an attorney, STAT.

Honestly, with a name like Grayson Sterling, Esquire, I expected an old man in a three-piece suit. But the guy behind the desk is anything but stuffy and old. Tall and sexy with tattoos and striking blue eyes, I simply can’t take my eyes off him, and I have no intention of declining his offer of a date…and more. So much more!

The conversation between us is good, and the man should win awards for his bedroom escapades. I find myself trusting him in ways I never thought I would—until he breaks that trust.

Gray insists he can fix it.

He claims he loves me.

But I don’t know if we can survive this.

✫✫ 4.5 Stars ✫✫

I loved Stella & Gray's chemistry from the very beginning. I especially loved their first date because it felt so real and it really helped me with the quick love story. They spent a night just enjoying each others companies and getting to know each other. I also loved her family and her BFF so much. The drama at the end was a little over the top but thankfully it didn't take too long to get resolved. I also loved the bonus epilogue, it made me want to listen to the original With Me in Seattle Series again.

The narration was good. Lance Greenfield is a favorite of mine!

The Scandal

Stella meets Grayson when she needs an attorney to annulment because of a drunken night in Vegas with her best friend, before he can get married to the love of his life.

I loved the With Me in Seattle series, Stella is Nate and Jules daughter from that series. I love that we’re getting the second generation because we still get glimpses of some of our favourite characters from that series. It feels full circle and more well rounded we get family and a sense of more with this series.

Grayson a little bit older than Stella but that never came up for them. To other people it was a big thing but to them all they saw was each other. I like that Grayson helps out his neighbour, I like that he is in contact with his family. We kind of see that theme throughout the whole book family is very important to both of them and the fact that they incorporate each other into their families even at such an early stage warmed my heart.

Now we have to talk about the sparks!! Hello my goodness, the things he wants to do to her in an elevator will make you blush.

I just thoroughly enjoyed this book and narration is perfection it really brought each of these characters their own voice, I can’t wait for more.

OBSESSED

This Single in Seattle series just keeps getting better and better! I seriously can’t get enough! And I obsessed seeing the OG characters throughout.

The Scandal is Stella and Gray. I freaking love Stella!!! So much of Jules in her from her strong and sassy personality, to her fierce protectiveness of her family. Grayson is just swoon 😍 an alpha Viking with an age gap. I’m done!

Kristen Proby has absolutely nailed this second gen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Entertaining, charming and a completely satisfying plot and narration! Easy 5 stars!

Another fantastic storyline for one of the children from the With Me In Seattle series! I cannot get enough of these next generation novels!!! Kristen’s writing and characterization for this series has been beautifully crafted and hands down phenomenal!! Captivating and interesting storylines that make me fall in love with every character and wanting more until the very last page! This next generation book is about Stella McKenna. She is the daughter of Julianne and Nate from the book “Fight With Me.” I highly recommend reading that book and the rest of the With Me series first!

Wow! I don’t even know where to start with the plot of this book as it is just THAT GOOD! The story of how Stella and Grayson meet is original, enchanting and just hilarious! I was hooked after the first chapter and had to see what was going to happen with these 2! I’d love to spill the whole scene leading up to their first encounter as it is so intriguing but I promise you’ll love it even more reading it happen yourself! Stella’s friend sums up the whole situation best: “If this was going to happen to anyone, it would be you, because you’re fun like that.” The rest of the story will have you falling in love with everything Stella and Grayson as it is entertaining, charming, and overall a completely satisfying read!

The narration for this book is spectacular! I love Emma Wilder! She has a pleasing voice and has an impressive male voice that I love! It was enchanting and drew me right into the story! Lance Greenfield was also as equally fantastic in his narrations of Grey! The two of them together made for a satisfying audiobook!

Fun and easy listen

This is another book in the series that follows the next generation of the "With Me in Seattle" characters. An age gap, Vegas wedding gone wrong, insta-love story sounds like tropes that might not go together, but Kristen Proby weaves a romantic tale with plenty of heat and not too much drama into an easy and pleasant weekend listen. You will definitely recognize many of the side characters from previous books and enjoy revisiting the goings on in this huge family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and spouses, but it is not necessary to have ready any of them to enjoy this book on its own.

Not what she expected

She definitely did not expect the man who would make her knees a little weaker and the breath halt in her lungs. He would give her the balance she needed and a man strong enough to help soothe her need to step out on her own. The Scandal has everything you could possibly imagine and Kristen Proby is a master at delivering characters that touch your heart.

Great story

Wow I don’t even know where to start with this review. I absolutely loved this book. I now think Stella is one of my favorite heroins. I loved absolutely everything about her from her independence to her sass to her wit and charm and to her huge heart. And as strong and as independent as she was, she was absolutely beautiful in her moments of vulnerability.
Gray, oh yes hot, sexy alpha Gray and an attorney on top of it!
I loved the narrators on this one, I always love going back to the Montgomery family not to mention spending some time with Nate and Jules. This was classic KP and a 5 star read for me!

Excellent book

I’m really enjoying the Single in Seattle series. It’s wonderful to read about the children from the In Seattle series now all grown up and getting their HEA’s. This time it’s Stella’s turn, she’s a strong minded/willed woman who knows what she wants and goes after it. When she meets Gray she likes what she sees despite the age difference. Likewise, Gray is driven guy who takes one look at Stella and just melts, she’s his and he’ll do everything he can to make it a reality. Overall I loved this book, I did feel the “Scandal” could have been more and for me I wanted a definitive conclusion to it. I wanted to know exactly what the outcome was. I’m bloodthirsty that way. That aside, this book is a wonderful addition to the series. I can’t wait to read the next book. The narration as always is excellent and brings the book to life.
