Publisher's Summary

The legendary college football coach and analyst, Lou Holtz once said: "When all is said and done, more is said than done."

These few, yet extremely profound words explain one of the biggest predicaments that individuals face today. Many of us as individuals say we want to be successful, happy, and influential. Yet, very, very few of us follow up what we say - whether said to others or ourselves - with specific actions that move us directly toward those goals. The idea of being successful is an attractive dream that fills us with positive emotions. Whereas the actions required to be successful (at work, in our relationships, in sports competition, etc.) are often difficult and lengthy. The desire to be genuinely happy is a universal goal toward which nearly every individual and advanced society aspires. But, the actions required to achieve deep and sustained happiness (some call it "joy") require us to often delay temporary gratification and "quick fixes" to problems. And, saying that we want to achieve a level of influence, either as a leader of others in the workplace, an influential member of the community, or as an admired parent and spouse, is far easier than the gut wrenching decisions, enormous amounts of personal time, and direct truth-telling that are required.

It's this gap - which can often feel as large, distant and mysterious as a black hole - between what we say we want, and what we must do to achieve it, that separates those who are able to turn their dreams into their destiny. So what do we need to bridge this gap between what we say we want, and what we must do to achieve it? We need goal-oriented motivation. What would it mean to you to learn how to develop this kind of motivation on-demand, sustain this motivation through the difficult periods of life, and instill this motivation so intricately into your daily life that you make the very idea of motivation unnecessary? All of that and more is available to you in this cutting-edge, all new program, The Science of Motivation: Strategies and Techniques for Turning Dreams into Destiny, from personal development expert and motivation master, Brian Tracy. Here you'll learn that the typical idea of motivation (as something that comes and goes, often out of your control; and as something akin to a balloon being filled with air from the outside in) are completely inaccurate. Motivation has been studied - as have the methods and strategies needed to replicate it. Truly, there is a science of motivation. And, like any other subject which has been studied and tested with the scientific method, if you implement the causes of motivation in your life, you will produce the effect of motivation. After cleaning away the numerous myths about motivation that most people believe, Brian will present this cutting-edge Science of Motivation with you. And, if you apply this science systematically in your life, your dreams will become your destiny.

If you like Brian Tracy you've heard it.

His other books and programs are just as good. This one repeats most of them.

The Missing Book of the Bible

Everytime I listen to another Brian Tracy Audiobook I start to feel disappointed, because I heard this stuff before from a previous Tracy book. Yet, as I continue to finish the book, Brian Drops another Bomb on Me! Lesson learned, I already have an extensive library already, but I realize no matter the repetition, I need everything Brian Tracy has Ever done. Why? Because if I don't, I know that one thing I was looking for I will miss and possibly prolong the time from problem to solution. Enough Said!

Surprisingly One The Most Complete & Best Brian Tracy Programs

I’ve followed Brian for more than 25 years now. Because of him I’ve overcome stuttering and gone on to build a successful small business helping others do the same.

I have almost all of his programs in one form or another. And, this one while formatted as an interview has to be one of my new favorites.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with this program.

The other, in a similar format is “The Science of Money.” I’d also recommend his “The New Psychology of Success!”

Not exactly what I expected

I was planning the on rating the book a lot worse because of the content being misleading and I found some of it unethical as well. Much of what is in here is unscientific. It is the anecdotes, theories and stories of a successful salesman/ public speaker. He tells a story about how he brainwashed his son into being confident at one point. And he tells of how he acted as a dog for his boss, in regards to work. In addition to preaching about being a workaholic in the workplace. However dispite these negatives, there are some real gems in this book that really pertains to motivatation. Writing down goals, being clear in your objectives, boosting your self esteem with positive self talk, getting at least 8 hours of sleep, knowing you can learn anything, and the idea of compounding in regards to skills. These are priceless, and are worth knowing. I think the author is too old fashioned, and rigid in his outlook. maybe he can be more kind to people who don't want to be the number one guy in the company and are satisfied living a stable balanced life. He is worth listening to and has his own perspective by the end of the day.

Transformative!!

Just after listening to the book one time I can feel the excitement joy I will receive from implementing all of these skills and rituals I will be doing from now on in my life! I honestly think just learning about the power of goal setting and visualization is going to be a big game changer. remember you can pray all you want but you also need to put some action behind your prayer.

Wow.

This is an excellent program. It is perhaps the most valuable educational resource I have ever encountered. The entire program is packed with one gem of information after the next. Even a single one of the points presented in The Science of Motivation would be enough to allow the listener to make profound improvements in their life and career. I learned far more than I ever expected to learn from a $20 program, and the return on investment has already been astronomical.

I have read several of Brian Tracy’s works, and The Science of Motivation is hands-down my favorite so far. The discussion-style presentation of the content between Tracy and Strutzel is both engaging and informative. The program also progresses at a good pace, and does not contain a single dull moment for the reader.

I urge you to purchase this program for yourself, your family members, your close associates, and anyone else you care about. This is truly one of the greatest gifts $20 can buy.

Not what I was expecting but great nevertheless.

I didn’t realise this wasn’t a book but a question and answers session, with descriptive details on what needs to be done.

As with any of these books, you only get anything out of them if you take action.

I overall liked the detail, stories, examples and it has made me think differently about things. Good listen for anyone who wants to change their life for the positive. It has loads of small nuggets and not all are related to motivation but would change your life for better.

The Science of Motivation

I have struggled all my life with lack of motivation and procrastination. Before listening to this book I thought of motivation as something big, vague and elusive, misterious, which some people just have, while I don't. Now I have a very thorough actionable break-down of the things that lie at the basis of motivation. Listening to Brian Tracy has always been inspiring for me, but this book really stands out for me.
Thank you, Brian Tracy!
And thank you, Audible for making self-development books accessible for the lower budget people like me.
