This is seriously utter bollocks, which i think any semi-critical thinker will see through. Buy another book. praise be the returns policy, kooooombaaayaaa m'loorrrd kooombayaaaa

I had so many positive awakenings and changes
The Seat of the Soul is so well known as a cover. I've seen it so many times but never picked it up before. My sister sent me the book as a present in March 2020 as I have been struggling with depression and anxiety, as my soul has been calling me to become my true self and I've found the transition exhausting and emotional - I was making it harder than it needed to be.
I started to read it and quickly downloaded the audiobook as I craved to hear Oprah and Maya say their words in their voices and I was not disappointed!
I've replayed the Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou prefaces so many times!
The lessons learnt from this book really struck a chord and I've listened to it up numerous times while pottering at home. Highly recommend and hope you are moved by it like I was and still am.

Excellent read, but a little outdated..
I really enjoyed this book, but I could not believe how outdated and offensive some of the language was. It is supposed to have been reviewed for its 25th year anniversary, but it still uses language as 'yellow people' and says things like casual sex can lead to being infected by AIDS. Surely these should have been edited? This is why I did not give 5 stars, as it does distract from the quality of the teachings and the message the book is trying to convey. But I did like the general philosophy and especially the study guide, which does not seem to come with a pdf option attached to the audiobook.. I would still recommend it to those who have spiritual inclination towards understanding the soul connection.

I read this book and I honestly do not know why . It is time I will never get back . It is Hocus Pocus at its finest verging on the ridiculous . Not one shred of evidence for this persons philosophy, what is worst is philosophy has a two sided presentation.
it nonsense in its truest form.

Sorry but complete mush
I tried to listen to this but it was meaningless drivel. Then as soon as religious reference is made I switch off as I would rather listen to stories about unicorns.
Shame on those celebrities marking this as a revolutionary book. It simply isn’t.

Life changing
On my first attempt at listening to this book, I didn’t get all the way through. I wasn’t ready for the ideas and realisations it was giving me about my life, my reactions and my thoughts. One day recently I was drawn back to it, so I started it again and every day I would listen to 1hr minimum. I couldn’t stop. It’s a must read/listen for those who are ready.

This book should be a foundational reference text
Each chapter examines the layers that make up who we are. This is one of the most complete introductory books of its kind and I would recommend it to anyone starting a journey of self discovery.

Powerful messages from the soul
I wish I had read this book earlier. Gary's concept is beyond any religion. It's about each everyone's soul and our own evolution. I feel enlightened and it certainly makes the rest of my journey more meaningful. I'll read/listen to the book again and again until reaching the other end.
Gary has lots of interviews on YouTube which can help anyone better undertand his book and findings.
You can choose your own speed (slower or faster) to listen and wind back or forward if you missed any part.
