Great info - distracting mispronunciation

I’m learning a lot, but I can’t help but feel part of the appeal to audiobooks is learning pronunciations as well… and this book has LOTS of errors in that regard.

In a work such as this, pronunciation = everything

The work was massacred by the narrator. His ignorance of proper pronunciation of western terms destroys the opportunity to enjoy and learn from exposure to an audible presentation of this opus. I was frustrated and disappointed.

Get past the mispronounced names. It’s worth it

He mispronounces lots of stuff, aside from that everything else is top shelf. The narrators voice is perfect for voice work. His pacing is perfect.
Lots of interesting information done in an entertaining way.
Absolutely get this if you’re curious about the occult.

Insightful listen

Certainly an eye opener for a curious mind with a little knowledge of some of the context covered in this book.

Wonderful

I am absolutely blown away that Manly P. Hall was capable of writing and publishing such a monumental work as this while still in his twenties.

I, like others, found the many mispronunciations to be distracting and a bit annoying. Other than that, I thought the narrator did a great job.

Great book. Mediocre performance.

This book is fascinating, and is so loaded with information that rereads are guaranteed. Any student of Western Esotericism should read this book at once.

This recording, however, contains far too many risable mispronunciations and repetitions of sections for Audible to be charging for this audiobook as a premium title. Nobody should have to pay for amateurish and shabby productions of public domain books like this. They should be included free with a membership. Shame on your quality control, Audible!

a couple odd pronunciations, but wonderful reading

wonderful dense book, wonderfully read, with a few pronunciation choices I would have revised, but the wisdom is there
