Very well educated

Each and every one of the audios presents topics that are really interesting, the education I received is impressive, I feel that I was very well trained, and I could certify it at the time of brainwashing or trying to decipher people's intentions.

Becoming Your Own Master

I choose this audiobook because I wanted to understand how people control and manipulate and deceive people so that you can stand up for yourself and to be your own man or woman.

Also, I wasn't familiar with Stoicism and wanted to learn more, but it caught my attention because in the book Memoirs of a Wartime Interpreter, author Yelena Rezhevskaya had asked a captured German officer she was interrogating what was the most impressive thing German officers saw in the Soviet Army; he responded that it was the bravery and the stoicism of the Russian soldier in the Battle of Rzhev.

My main reason was wanting to know what really was happening to me when I was young, single growing up in a fundamentalist Baptist Church. Over time I was beginning to see that there was a subtle pattern of control used by different succeeding pastors.

I noticed specifically the control trigger to get a person to do something without directly asking if that person could do a certain task or job was begun with a two-part statement/ question. First the statement and later followed up with a question.

The first statement would be said usually in a friendly but sincere tone: "You know you don't do nothing?" The second part of this programing or conditioning, on a later day, was: "What are you doing?"

The word "nothing" was in my head. To hear the phrase I did nothing kind of shocked or stunned me. I had worked long hours and looked after a parent who needed help. The word "nothing" stunned me every time I heard it.

When asked what I was doing, I wanted to say that I was busy with many things, but I wanted to resist but couldn't but automatically always responded: "Nothing." The end result was I was given a task or a "job" in the church in addition to the ones I was already doing. But there was always a reinforcement that reminded me I did nothing. Just the power of a double negative.

I realized that I was somehow brainwashed or programed. It was hard to break out of it and respond that I was busy with many things. But one day I did. I was later told by a pastor that I had asked what it meant when asked "what are you doing?" he smiled and said, "It is called 'training.'"

A yearly vacationing pastor used to ask me that question what I was doing. I always responded "nothing." Finally, one year I answered: "I am busy with many things." Both he & his wife flinched and slowly looked at each other and back at me.

This two-part method reminded me in a a kind of odd way about the top-secret code books we used for passing radio messages when I was a soldier. There was a "sign," and there was a "countersign."

This book helped me to see into how people control and manipulate people and what they know and how they use it for their benefit. Though the author didn't use this type of example I gave, The book was still of a big help because the author went into how salesmen use mind-control. All three pastors that succeeded each other all had backgrounds in sales at one time or another.
