What if Jesus were not a supernatural being conceived by a virgin but a real human being who had experienced the awakening of consciousness known as "enlightenment" in the East? This extraordinary line-by-line commentary on some of the best-known New Testament Gospels from Matthew and John tests the hypothesis that Jesus was a mystic, not a miracle worker of supernatural origin. Osho convincingly makes the case that the stories of Jesus' life were never meant to be a factual record of history but rather are teaching parables.

Ecstasy: The Forgotten Language invites us to rediscover our natural state of ecstasy. We have lost touch with our intrinsic nature, says Osho, because we no longer live existential lives; we put our whole focus on our private lives. We have lost contact with the real and live almost entirely in our minds, in our imaginations. This makes us dull and unhappy and unavailable for what life is really offering us. Society and civilizations originally evolved to support and protect us, but now the situation has reversed and instead we find ourselves existing to sustain them.

Humans have an inbuilt drive to search for their inner power and potentiality. This search is the search for life itself. We are here, we have life - but we don't know what life really is. We can feel our energy but don't know where this energy comes from and to what goal this energy is going. We are that energy; we have glimpses of its true source and our connection to it, and those glimpses keep us going even when it seems we will never find what we are seeking - but still we do not know what that energy is.

The Heart Sutra, originally a very short set of verses, was given in privacy as a message to one of Buddha's close disciples, Sariputra, specifically addressed to him. Over time the Heart Sutra became one of Buddhism's core teachings. In these 10 talks, Osho presents the powerful message of these ancient words and brings them to a modern audience - one with different minds and needs than the original audiences of Buddha more than 2,500 years ago.

Today, humanity is caught up in the mad complexity of the mind and there is an urgent need to rediscover simplicity and innocence. Here, the contemporary mystic Osho brings to life the inherent and timeless wisdom of traditional Zen stories, showing that Zen is a way of dissolving philosophical problems, not of solving them - a way of getting rid of philosophy, because philosophy is a sort of neurosis.

Publisher's Summary
This series of talks is on one of the most esoteric treatises in the world. It will show you the way to become more than the body and the way to bloom - how not to remain a seed but to become a golden flower. What, in India, they call the one thousand-petalled lotus, in China they call the golden flower. It is a symbol that represents perfection, totality. Moreover, the flower represents the actualization of the potential - the beauty, the grandeur, the splendor of being.
This treatise, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, is very ancient, possibly one of the most ancient treatises in the world - at least 25 centuries old. But 25 centuries can be traced back very easily. And this treatise is also, uniquely, a great synthesis of all the great religions. The Bible belongs to the Christians, the Talmud belongs to the Jews, the Vedas belong to the Hindus, the Dhammapada to the Buddhists, the Tao Te Ching to the Taoists. But this small book, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, belongs to no one in particular, or it belongs to all. It is heavily based on Taoist teachings, a flowering of the Taoist approach to life and existence. But it is not only that. Zarathustra has played a role; his teachings are incorporated within it. Buddhist teachings have also been integrated, and a certain esoteric school of Christians, the Nestorians, have played their part. It is one of the most synthetical approaches.
These 31 talks will introduce you to a world of consciousness, meditation, and a transformative space - it's a pure joy to listen to Osho.

Pure Poetry
Listening to Osho is listening to poetry. It is a sheer joy. The way he interrelates and marries opposite forces in this dualistic universe is a work of art. At once a genius in the learned scholarly realm of information and a mystic of the deepest existential mysteries, Osho himself is a marriage of dualities which makes him so appealing to people of all ages and backgrounds. His work will continue to arouse and inspire people for centuries. So long as there is an interest in knowing, whether in the higher intellectual pursuits of the outside world, or the inner workings of the soul, Osho has a way of capturing one's attention and fascination. What he does from there is the work of a true Master. What he gives you with one hand, he takes away with the other. By and by listening to Osho, he leaves you utterly naked, standing on nothing but your own innermost emptiness - the true function of a buddha. 5 stars for Osho!

Secrets Revealed
Powerful book! Love Osho and his lectures. I found this book to be extremely intense and very informative. He covers everything. However it was also very repetitive of some of his other work and at times could drag along. The lectures themselves had a redundancy to them and were very politically charged and biased. Like most spiritual leaders and activists, I found him to be have a great overall message but laden heavy with ego.

Osho is one of a kind spiritual genius. His lectures completely destroy ignorance and directly goes to the heart of it. Ultimately, you either get it or you don't. That's how it is meant to be and not have a lukewarm understanding. Humanity is trapped in shame and guilt and Osho brings out all human repression & taboo to the forefront to dissect and explain where exactly the problem lies.

One to level up
What can I say about this book? It's one of the most advanced teachings I've recieved. It's not brief at 53 hours, but you get a real sense of the depth and nuance of the teaching of the Tao by hearing Osho speak it himself. Each teaching is interspersed with question period and takes place over 3 month retreat.
This one has definitely leveled me up. It's brought clarity to certain teachings like the heart Sutra. It's helped me understand certain esoteric experiences I've had that no one else has had the context to help explain. These are direct, finite experiences. Imagine my surprise when I hear them in this book!

Doesn’t go into detail about the Golden Flower
There is very little, in the 50+ hours of this book, that concentrated upon the Golden Flower, so the title is a little misleading. It’s basically a series of talks by Osho, during which he occasionally includes the Golden Flower.

Comprehensive and Profound
I'm slowly but surely becoming enamored with Osho and his teachings. This book delves deep into the history of Taoist teaching, while remaining very relevant to today.
Osho may seem controversial to begin with, but the more you understand his teaching the more it all makes sense.
I've changed my understanding of myself, and am grateful to have discovered such important knowledge.
My only criticism of this audiobook is that the recording levels can jump from quiet to loud and back again, making it necessary to keep adjusting the volume. However this is a small concern when being rewarded with such wisdom.
