Publisher's Summary

Welcome back to the Blue Solace!

Morgan Murray is an easy, fun-loving guy. He excels at being a soldier, but never wanted more out of life. Somehow, he ends up in a position of authority on Dru's new ship, the Blue Sparrow. Now he has to deal with what he dreads most. Responsibilities. Dru and her crew are given the task of finding Wyatt Morrick and telling him about his father's death. Along the way, Morgan soon learns that responsibility can be painful, difficult, and frightening. It can also lead to something very special.

Dr. Wyatt Morrick is in trouble. Big trouble. He and his medical crew are stuck on a planet under attack. He may not be a soldier, but he has patients and friends to worry about. With very few supplies left, something has to give for them to survive. The whole planet's future is at stake and he is stuck hiding in a cave.

When Morgan saves Wyatt and his friends, the two men are given a gift: each other. Their love can't stop the Concord, though, and someone has to. Morgan has to grow and accept his responsibilities, and Wyatt has to move on from his father's death. That death just happens to be a little more complicated then Wyatt expected.

Author's Note: 55,000+ words. This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ listeners only, please. It is also the third book in a series that is best heard in order. Listen to The Mercenary's Mate and The General's Mate first!

Great addition to the series

I could go on and wax poetic about writing and characters and MM romance and sci-fi romance and mpreg but even if that is or isn't your thing, what I have found above all the great story telling in these books is acceptance. The author doesn't just make the MM romance accepting but the normal within whatever your society is. They also show how if you don't have a family or friends, you find them. You cobble together your tribe and the more open minded you are, the more accepting you are, the more you grow your heart and only happiness will follow. There will be people who don't approve but the people who do will completely outweigh those that don't. And all you have to do is find that tribe, those people that will love and protect you then wrap them around you as your shield against the haters and let love win. Thank you to the author. These stories and this huge family are soooooo needed right now ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Favorite Blue Solace story.

The Soldier's Mate is my favorite of this series! I have read and re-read them so many times, I was excited to be able to listen to them. Mr. Brown does an okay job narrating the book, and the C.W. Gray never fails to have me laughing out loud one moment and then crying the next. Love his books!

The Soldier's Mate

When Wyatt and his team go missing Morgan and his shipmates go in search of them. Little do the two men know how their world would change.

I enjoyed watching the way this story unfolds. Their story is full of emotion and adventure. So much is happening alongside the development of Morgan and Wyatt’s relationship. The author does a good job of bringing these characters and this world to life making this a nice addition to this series. Narrator Connor Brown gives the characters their own voices and had me engrossed in their story right from the start.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story!

It’s always a blast to see what Leti and the gang are up to in their quest to keep not only their loved ones but the whole galaxy safe. MPreg space opera at its finest.

So many feels!

Word of warning, you might need a couple tissues for this one. But then, I cry at a lot of things so maybe it's just me?
This one is certainly the biggest emotional rollercoaster so far. Morgan and Wyatt are an adorable couple and I love big, bad Morgan's sweet reactions to his mate.
There's a lot of exciting story development going on in this one and we begin to get a much better understanding of what's going on throughout the galaxy. I won't spoil but there's a nice little twist in there that I really appreciated for Wyatt's sake.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
