Story
The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar. Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born. Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather’s wedding day - when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn’t marry him because she was also in love with Weston‘s grandfather.

Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

Story
It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought, until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch to. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man who crouched down and looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive was none other than my ex.

Hockey star Max Yearwood was everything I needed at the time - fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months, since he’d signed with a new team 3,000 miles away. Max proposed we spend the summer helping me forget my ex. It sounded like a good plan. Things couldn’t get too serious when we had an expiration date. Right? Though, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old". Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

Finding a good roommate through a classified ad isn’t as easy as it sounds. I was starting to lose hope. Until a knock at my door came, and God answered my prayers. Except...uh...wrong prayer, God. I’d definitely requested the big guy find me a drop-dead gorgeous man on more than one occasion...just not as my roommate. Declan Tate talked me into interviewing him anyway. While he was amusing and charismatic, I wouldn’t have been comfortable living with a man, so I regretfully declined. Then, cupcakes showed up at my door.

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.

It started out like any normal day. Then the fender bender happened. The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth. Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway - one I was excited about. Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

When I first encountered Ford Donovan, I had no idea who he was...well, other than the obvious. Young, gorgeous, successful, smart. Did I mention young? If I did, it bears repeating. Ford Donovan was too young for me. Let’s back up to how it all started. My best friend decided I needed to start dating again. So, without my knowledge, she set up a profile for me on a popular dating site - one that invited men ages 21 to 27 to apply for a date.

The one that got away. Every girl has one, right? Mine was a charming, British aristocrat who turned my world upside down one summer. I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet. Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break. Until one day, it did. Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing. Griffin forgave me, and we were able to rekindle our childhood connection.

Reasons why I should not be drawn to Troy Serrano. Number one: He’s obnoxious. Number two: We were enemies more than a decade ago. Number three: He’s my friend’s ex-boyfriend. I could go on and on, really. When my boss gives me an unwanted assignment, and tells me it involves spending time with the grandson of one of our residents, the grandson turns out to be Troy. Lucky me. Four hours a week of having to deal with his insufferable personality and unsolicited advice - the only consolation is getting to stare at his annoyingly gorgeous face, in between our many arguments.

My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

Story
A new standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland. The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing. Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all. Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.

My first Vi Keeland book
- By Titus M Hamlett on 02-04-17
By: Vi Keeland
Publisher's Summary
A sexy new stand-alone from number one New York Times best seller Vi Keeland.
Before I even met Donovan Decker, I knew his shoe size. You see, I’d gone away for a few days, and in my haste to get out of the airport, I’d grabbed the wrong suitcase.
After checking out the expensive footwear and tailored clothes, I dialed the number on the luggage tag hoping maybe Mister Big Spender might have my bag. A deep, velvety voice answered, and as luck would have it, he had my suitcase, too.
Donovan and I met at a coffee shop to do the exchange. Turned out, it wasn’t just his voice that was sexy. The man holding my luggage was absolutely gorgeous, and we had an immediate spark. He got me to admit that I’d snooped in his bag and then convinced me to make it up to him by letting him buy me coffee. Coffee led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and dessert led to spending an entire weekend together. Donovan wasn’t just handsome with a panty-dropping voice. He was also funny, smart, and surprisingly down-to-earth for a man who wore $700 shoes. Did I mention he also did my laundry while I slept? Definitely too good to be true. So what did I do to repay him for his kindness? I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him. My life was too complicated for such a great guy.
In the months that passed, I thought about Donovan often. But New York City had eight million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him? Then again, what were the chances I’d run into him a year later...when I’d just started dating his boss?

NEEDS A TW
This is the second or third book I’ve read from Vi that did not include any trigger or content warnings, and I STRONGLY feel that it should’ve. These are not triggers for me personally, but I still feel that they should be addressed in case they’re hurtful to other readers, so I’m listing them here:
*****Trigger/Content Warnings*****
•Rape/sexual assault- historical, not the hero, directly spoken about, not very detailed in description
•Child molestation- supporting character, historical, not described in detail
•Stalking/gaslighting/physical abuse- historical, not the hero, fair amount of detail
•Attempted suicide via drug overdose (Ambien)- historical, described in detail

Another hit from Vi Keeland!
I loved everything about this book! From the story to the narration, it kept me from stopping once I started listening. Autumn and Donovan are so much more than it first appears. The characters are flawed like we all are and took different ways to cope. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York brought them to life. The background characters were really great too. I don't like to give any spoilers but it's one of the best audiobooks I've heard this year! I wanted it to go on and see what happened to some of the background characters but only because they were so interesting. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who loves plot twists and people who have overcome hardship, which is probably all of us.

Not my favorite Vi Keeland book...
STORY (3.5 Stars) : This was a slow burn book. I also took issue with the heroine's struggles that pretty much placated being a victim. She stayed in the same mental state for 75% of the book and when she finally decided to NOT be a victim, I just didn't believe she'd go and tell her attacker off like that and actually have him take it without a fight or quiet intimidation tactics as he had been doing (open office door or not.) I just didn't believe it. Donovan was a great hero with a great rags to riches backstory, but felt his potential to be a great protector was masked by Autumn's petulant fear. I guess what ticked me off was she abandoned him the moment HE needed her after he'd bent over backwards to be the man she needed. I'm not unsympathetic, I just feel like Autumn was isolated and those like Donovan and Skye had to handle her with kid gloves which allowed her to be a weak character for me. Due to this dynamic, Autumn weighed all the characters down for me.
Narration (5 Stars) : You'll always get a solid performance out of Andi and Sebastian.

Wonderful meet cute
I really liked how Autumn and Donovan met with her picking up his bag by mistake at the baggage claim. After a wonderful weekend, she ghosts him. He doesn't know her last name or phone number but fate steps in and they are thrown together by a pro bono case for her social work client. Who can resist the man that Donovan is? Autumn because she has a lot of complications in her past to deal with. You can't go wrong with a story written by Vi Keeland and narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

Vi Keeland, Sebastian York, Andi Arndt. This is the trifecta of excellent audiobook. Vi Keeland is an author I always pre-order. She never disappoints. I loved this production. You will too.
Andi and Sebastian are two of my favorite narrators and their performances were perfect and wonderful. This is a great story. Complicated and moving and sweet and real. There was less laughing than Vi Keeland’s usual novels, but I truly enjoyed that there was more realism and truth. Every character was fully developed and narrated so incredibly well by Andi and Sebastian. They are truly the best of the best and I will continue to purchase every book they narrate because they also select the best authors to work with. This is a must purchase for all Vi, Andi and Sebastian lovers!

Fun instantly likeable characters
I liked them both from the start. The backgrounds slowly getting revealed was intriguing and though I guessed where it was going to end up the drama was a minimum so it wasn't frustrating to read.
This book was fun, interesting and hot.

Another winner from Vi Keeland
I have loved most of Vi Keeland books but this has to be one of my favourites. I couldn't stop listening as I was swept up in to the book by interesting back stories as both of the main characters were brought to life by my 2 favourite narrators. The story line has depth and kept me wanting to hear what happened next.

mehh
Story was drawn out and at times boring. did not like the male voice at all! Very slow burn. Wouldn't waste a credit.

Love!
The one thing I hate about Vi Keelands books is that they come to an end. I love, and get so excited when I start listening to them. She is my absolute favourite Author.
This book, was great, and as always the Narrators are my favourite combo.

Great fantastic and character building
Vi Keeland is a genius. Sebastian and Andi together just makes it so awesome to listen to. The story was close to the bone but was healing for me and gives hope and strength.
The characters are real and exciting. People I can relate to.
Thank you so much.

Beautiful 💕❤️🩹
This was a amazing story with two amazing survivors each with their own tragic story to tell . Some how a chance meeting changed everything for these two. Love it ❤️🩹 I especially loved hearing Sebastian and Andi together bringing this beautiful story to life. Brilliant ❤️🩹💕💙❤️🔥💙💕❤️🩹
