Story
In an increasingly secular society, those who have a biblical worldview are now a shrinking minority. As mainstream culture grows more hostile toward the Bible’s truths and those who embrace them, you’ll face mounting pressures — from family, friends, media, academia, and government — to change and even abandon your beliefs. But these challenges also create abundant opportunities to stand strong for Christ and shine light to those hurt by the darkness of our day.

Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Story
Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity.

The rise of these secular gods presents the most serious challenge to the absolute claims of Christ since the founding of Christianity itself. The Christian worldview has not only been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are openly ridiculed as irrelevant. This audiobook is fresh, insightful, and important, and faces head on today's most urgent challenges to Christian faith.

Publisher's Summary
Biblical Christianity is more than just another private religious view. It's more than just a personal relationship with God or a source of moral teaching.
Christianity is a picture of reality.
It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end.
In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story. He identifies the most important things that happen in the story in the order they take place:
- God
- Man
- Jesus
- Cross
- Resurrection
Our story begins with God. He created everything, but something went terribly wrong. So God initiated a rescue plan and entered the world that he had made by becoming like us in Jesus Christ. Jesus saved us from the wrongness in ourselves and in the world through his death on a cross. And how people respond to what he did will determine their future, at the final event of history: the resurrection.
If you are already a Christian, this is your story. Do you know it? If you are not a Christian, this is still your story, because it explains the world in a way that nothing else will. It is a true story - the real story behind every other story we hear.

Great Book, Bad Editing
If you could sum up The Story of Reality in three words, what would they be?
Very Important Message
What three words best describe Gregory Koukl’s performance?
Very good reading but whoever edited it made lots of errors.
Any additional comments?
In all the audiobooks I have listened to I have never heard so many editing errors. You can tell on multiple occasions where the reader started over because he made a mistake and the person editing it didn't get it pasted back together right.

I got recommended this book by a friend & he even purchased the physical copy for me. I was at a place in my life that I didn’t believe in God and dismissed His story completely. After listening to this book I have a clearer understanding of what took place on this earth and a better understanding of God and Jesus. Gregory’s voice is easy to listen to and he puts the story in an easy to understand way for us to digest. Highly recommended!

Every Christian Needs This Book
For so many believers the Bible is a series of short encouraging sayings that bring comfort and encouragement. Of course there is Jesus and His return, but we tedn to run out of steam after that. In The Story of Reality, Gregory Koukl lays out the big story and once we have that in place it is much easier to determine what does and doesn't fit.
New believer? This book will be a foundation for your faith and rocket fuel for your soul. If like me you have been round a bit longer, and I have been around a long time and am more well read than most, this book is still a breath of fresh air, delivering logic, context and and a beautiful depiction of the scriptural meta-narrative - he paints a wonderful picture of God, His story and our part in it.
Enjoy!

Great for anyone who is wanting to think, to reflect more deeply on ones faith and the reasons why Christians believe what they believe. Not shallow bind belief but with depth, heart and reason.
Greg is great at describing Christianity as a picture, a worldview of the real world we live in. He deals with and debunked the various issues and conflicting arguments that have cropped up including post-modernism, materialism other worldviews.
