Publisher's Summary

Indulge in this sweet summer romance bursting with small-town charm—an audio-first novella by New York Times best-selling author Emily March!

It’s peak tourist season in Eternity Springs, and Dana Delaney has her hands full running her ice cream parlor, Scoops. The last thing she needs is for her star employee to fall sick, but she’s in luck when a newcomer to town offers to fill in...and the fact that he’s sinfully handsome with a sexy Scottish accent is an added treat.

A-list sports agent Cal Buchanan is visiting Eternity Springs to scout marriage proposal locations for a client, not get distracted by the beautiful owner of the local ice cream parlor. But when she’s short staffed, he can’t resist the opportunity to dip in and help. If he plays it right, she might even return the favor and give him a tour of the town’s most romantic destinations.

Will their attraction lead to a romance more decadent than Scoops’ double chocolate toffee crunch—or will it melt away by summer’s end?

So much fun

I loved this sweet story! Dana needs Cal's help in her ice cream shop, and he needs her help to stage a client's perfect proposal. Along the way, they learn that they share similar life philosophies and values. I loved these characters and their humor, and I got choked up at a few sweet parts. This is a clean listen that I would share with a teenager. The narrators did a terrific job of bringing the emotion out in every chapter.

Wonderful story!! Loved every second of it

Summer Melt is wonderful! Held my interest from the very start. It’s an Eternity Springs story but stands alone with the main characters being new. But the characters we all love are mixed in. Would highly recommend. Only problem is that it’s too short!

Ice cream and love, not a better combination!

Emily March did it again! This short story of love and ice cream brings a smile to my soul. As Cal and Dana work together to form a plan for one of Cal’s clients, they discover their love for one another. The way each character is grows, their hearts are changed from a team working in a plan to a couple in love is amazing. There’s nothing better than a little ice cream and love for the summertime. You should listen to this book now! You will love every moment of it!

Perfect summer romance full of fun and hot Scots!

The Summer Melt has everything you will love for a beach read: ice cream, a wonderful Colorado small town, hot Scots, a romantic engagement plan and lots of fun and romance. The dual narration with the swoon-worthy Scottish narrator for Cal and the female narrator who is perfect for ice cream shop owner Dana works very well. I especially love that Dana swears using ice cream flavors that she names after Colorado features! Cal is sexy and romantic and he competes with his younger brother to see who is the hottest Scot in town. Lots of fun and love in this one!

Lovely story with room for expansion

This was a good premise and I really liked the overall storyline and the characters. Can I just say how refreshing it was to like the characters and that the relationship wasn’t ‘under threat’ by some farcical entity or refusal to communicate? The pacing was good until the last chapter where is all began to feel a bit rushed. Having said that, it was an enjoyable couple of hours that one could revisit especially when the world seems to harsh and overwhelming.

my first romance novella

This is my first experience reading a romance novella, unless you count stories about the Harvey girls whi h I read because I am a train aficionado. This story was sweetly romantic and kept my mind off work while doing chores. I save my credits for long reads and enjoy thd free short stories, sampling authors that are new to me. I would choose this author again. Oh yes, accolades to the reader. I adore the Scottish accent.

Light hearted clean romance if you can get past na

Light hearted clean romance if you can get past narration which wasn't great, why they chose to alternate between 1 male & 1 female narrator who were both pretty bad at a Scottish accent & not great at doing the other gender's voices I have no idea.

Otherwise a fun ,unlikely story with a tiny bit of action drama near the end.Similar to the Princess Switch movie, where an unlikely kind hearted woman gets to be pampered & have her dreams come true meeting a surprisingly single ,wealthy attractive man... with a little bit of humour & dialogue that isn't exactly what people would actually say.Very little dwelling on her break up with her ex,only briefly mentioned about 3 times, making it a light hearted escape, would listen to again :)
Better than a Box of Chocolates and A Vineyard Valentine have the same style on Plus Catalogue.

I’m sorry

This was the worst. I’m so sorry for the actors that had to read it. I’m sorry that the author doesn’t have a great mentor to help her create a wonderful story. So very glad I didn’t pay for it. Apologies to the author but it’s an awful read

Light and predictable

A slightly cringe worthy romance, however it’s been good for a light listen. Super short too.

So so story, ridiculous performance by one of the narrators

The story is an average fluffy romance but the real downer is the male’s performance. I couldn’t tell whether he was for real or just hamming it up. It sounds ridiculous. They should have just used the female performer who’s male voice was better.

So Perfectly Sweet!

Absolutely loved this story. The chemistry between characters was magnetic and sweet, not to mention a little kooky.
The jovial competitiveness between Hot Scot Brothers also allowed for some out loud laughs too.
A short, but sweet and romantic scoop of goodness and a highly recommended read.

Gasping narration

Story was as expected - simple, not much substance but ok background listening. But the male narration was unpleasant. Gasping breaths at the end of every sentence - more obvious when he was voicing female characters. Had to stop listening

Not for me thanks

There is no substance here. I usually really enjoy listening to Andi Arndt and a corny romance, but I just couldn't push through with the awful accents and the absence of any tangible plot. I made the decision to waste no more of my life minutes and pulled the plug at chapter 4.

I’ll skip the ice cream

I love a good corny romance but this was just yuck. Lots of eye rolls, Cal came across as a creep to me. The accents were terrible too.
