Story
Love thy neighbor, 'tis said. A fine idea, except when the neighbor in question is Lord Holden. Lady Helen Tiernay has complained frequently about his treatment of his people. Too frequently perhaps, for the king intends to curb their constant bickering by ordering them to wed. Helen can't refuse a royal decree, but she'll do everything possible to drive away her devilishly attractive husband-to-be.

Story
Bastard daughter to the king, Rosamunde was raised in a convent and wholly prepared to take the veil...until King Henry declared she would wed Aric, one of his most valiant knights. Suddenly she found herself promising to love, honor, and obey. Rosamunde's education had not covered a wedding night, but the handsome warrior she was now bound to seemed intent on giving her a lesson in the art of pleasure. In no time, Aric was certain, she would surrender to the irresistible passion he promised.

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever-after. Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters' debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing's happened.... Until the real earl appears.

Publisher's Summary
When they first met Lord Jeremy William Radcliffe, Charlie and her twin sister, Elizabeth, were escaping from their uncle - taking turns acting the young gentleman to avoid detection. But Charlie couldn't help falling head over heels-and out of a window - for the handsome lord. Of course, that was only the beginning; Lord Radcliffe insisted on showing "him" and her lovely sister to London.
But how could he do that? With every touch, Radcliffe seemed unknowingly to incite indecent desires in Charlie, and his fraternal intent was certain to land her in a fine mess. Though it was a great game to play a boy, there was more fun in being female. And after one brush of his fiery lips when her guise was gone, Charlie swore to be nothing but his fiery woman forevermore.

Well what I thought would be a good IS STUPID
Switch had promises but after chapter 2 it was all sexual confusion of a man thinking only with one thing ...need I say more? Very idiotic, after hours hoping the story would be about "switch" it was a man confused why he had physical reactions too "a man, a woman" due too twins. Stupid is truly the best word.

Very entertaining...
This was one of those audiobooks that I couldn't stop listening to. I found it very entertaining and there were some plot twists that I wasn't expecting. It was actually funny how Jeremy was questioning his sexuality because he was attracted to Charlie and the things that happened because of that. There was a good build up to the romance and although there was only one love scene I did feel the romantic connection between Jeremy and Charlie. This is a fun story that I recommend. The narrator also did a fine job with the accents and adding intensity to the story as well.

Two hours too long.
Three issues with this:
1. Beth was selfish the while story which was quite annoying when her sister was sacrificing all for her
2. Charlie was very foolish. She kept on running head long into danger and she can't even protect herself. Like damn bring a gun or a knife gosh.
3. The was about two hours two long. The Masquerade went on way too long and to believe the girls tricked everyone for long is just unbelievable.

Fun Read/listen
This was a fun read. I really liked Charlie/Charles, she/he was quite funny and witty. She was a strong heroine not whiny and wimpy. She got herself into lots of antics and mishaps for sure. The hero was just okay, not much depth or intrigue with him. The dialogue was good. There was a decent sex scene. Even the sexual tension was mild. I do think the attraction between Radcliffe and Charlie could have been better. Although, through most of the book Charlie was playing Charles so it did make it difficult, although Radcliffe did find himself attracted to a boy. LOL
The narrator did a pretty good job and I would listen to her again.
Credit Worthy? Sure.

Maby i expected more, but still a great story
Lynsay Sands is one of my fav auther, but i think i expected more from this book.
Maby because i read the Madison sisters series first, and that was so fun, that i thought that this book would be the same. Still it could be more fun. I love where he wants to make the young "boy" to a man.
But overall i great story
This book i is a true Lynsay Sands book.
It's a book worth it's money or cerdit.

Really Boring
Well, this was the first I read in the year 2022 and it was BORING as hell !!
So the story is about twin sisters Charlie and Beth, they decide to run away from their uncle so they don't get stuck in arranged marriages both of them don't want, Charlie disguises herself as a boy named "Charles" to provide protection for them both .. in the process of running away they meet lord Radcliff, and he insists on helping them .. but he feels a sudden attraction for Charles which he should not feel.. and thus begin a funny adventure between the three of them
to be fair, I did find some of the scenes funny and I actually laughed.. but the relationship between Radcliff and Charlie was really rushed and doesn't make any sense and I was bored most of the book TBH
The narrator was the worst part of the book, she seemed like she wanted to sleep throughout the book .. I really didn't enjoy the book

Enjoyable
If you could sum up The Switch in three words, what would they be?
An entertaining listen
What did you like best about this story?
I am a big fan of Lynsay Sands books. You do have to suspend belief that they are in any way historically correct but are entertaining nonetheless. This was good escapism and an enjoyable listen.
What does Fiona Hardingham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Fiona is a great narrator but this reading was marred by her strange pronunciation of Tomas and it grated every time she said it (which was frequent towards the end of the book)
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have listened in one go if I had the time as I really wanted to know what happened next as the story progressed
