So much self loathing

The first two books were great but this one had too much drama for both characters and it was hard to get through. I get that you want them to be complicated people but maybe dial it back a bit? I almost had to stop listening at one point. It just got to be so sad and gratuitous.
Also, I can usually tolerate Emma’s narration but Jules insecurities really made Emma’s breathy voice more irritating.

Male voice is all wrong; Females too insecure!

This is a good story, but the male voice is much too old for a young college guy!! Also, these stories would be even better if the author made some of the female characters have stronger self esteems. In books 2 and 3 especially, the female leads are so insecure. I’d love to see the guys have to work a bit at proving themselves rather than constantly trying to reassure he women that they’re “good enough”!!

OK for me!

Different female narrator would of made this book so much better. I honestly don't understand why Emma keeps getting jobs reading younger female characters she is absolutely horrible at it. The story was great narration made it suck a little.

The best in the the series!

First of all, let me say that this is a fantastic series. And I am a hard critic. I am not a huge fan of the female's narrator but the storyline is so good. I love Jason Clark. Period. I have loved every one of these books, but this one I could not stop listening to. It had the best build up and Gah how could you not love Jules and Berk. Berk was a beloved side character until this book. Berk is the ultimate BF for ladies that have natural sizes. Then he became a HOT hero. I am so picky about my books but you best believe I will finish this series out! on to LJ and Risa

Definitely the best in the series so far! Not sure if it’s because you started hearing their story in the second one but definitely not just a one time listen!

So Emotional

Loved this book. Berk and Jules have a rough road and lots of tough times but they manage to find each other and be exactly what the other needs when they need it. Great performances by Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder.

Beautiful Story!

This is the third book in the amazing Fulton U Series, a New Adult and College Romance. I love this Series with intertwined characters. Berk and Jules's friends to lovers romance is beautiful, sweet, fun, emotional, and heartwarming. They are perfect together. Berk is handsome, charming, caring and supportive. He had a heartbreaking past. Jules is such a lovely young woman, insecure, but strong, and independent. Her family is dysfunctional, and her mother is awful. The supporting characters are amazing. Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder did an outstanding job with the narration. They both have a beautiful voice. They are perfect as Berk and Jules. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Jules and Berk!

Jules is strong not because of her past but in spite of it. Not only was she not supported by those who should have loved her but the way they treated her is enough to break your heart. She doesn’t believe her neighbor would ever be attracted to her but that doesn’t stop the feelings she has for him. What was supposed to be one anonymous letter has snowballed as she certainly didn’t expect him to write her back and even more when she stopped writing he didn’t think he would come to her door looking for help to find the woman who wrote the letters.

Berk is the sexy football player who exudes confidence but due to a painful past that is far different from the man he truly is. When he starts receiving the letters, he is drawn to the woman who wrote them so when they stop, he feels lost. He knows that she is special and now all he needs his neighbor to help him find her, but the truth is much closer than he thinks.

The more time they spend together, the closer they become and the way that they are there for each other is magical to watch. This is sweet and sexy story with all the feels about two people who with the help of each other realize they deserve more than the hand they have been dealt and that family is about love not blood. I thought that the narrators were the perfect choice for the characters and the story.

So many feels with this one!

This book gave me so many feels! Jules is so easily relatable to me. The insecurities and the way you see yourself not being how others see you, but that negative look at yourself is so hard to overcome. Berk's story broke my heart again and again with how he grew up and how he lost everyone in his life and always waited for them to leave. Jules and Berk were perfectly matched from the beginning. The letters started something, but TLG became irrelevant when Berk really got to know Jules. He fell in love with her and nothing else mattered. These two were so easy to love. I want more of them!

The narrators did a great job bringing them to life. I felt all of their pain and their love. It was well done!

Loved it! Could not stop listening!

Narrated by Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder, they brought Berk and Jules story to life in The Third Best Thing by Maya Hughes. We first met Berk and Jules in the previous book and I had no idea how much I would just love their story. I devoured it! Just devoured it! Could not stop listening.

Their journey was emotional, charming and sweet read. They each carried so much personal baggage. Jules was just so likable. She was sweet and caring and on the timid side. Her insecurities just broke my heart. I just wanted to give her a hug. Berk was so unexpected. He is still the fun guy we got to know previously, but we also see so much more of him and who he is. I loved their friendship, their chemistry and watching them fall. This was a great story and one I highly recommend!
