Artemis Fowl, say hello to Artemis Fowl.
When Artemis Fowl’s mother contracts a life-threatening illness, his world is turned upside down. The only hope for a cure lies in the brain fluid of the silky sifaka lemur. Unfortunately, the animal is extinct, thanks to the money-hungry deeds of a younger Artemis.
Though the odds are stacked against him, Artemis is not willing to give up. With the help of his fairy friends, the young genius travels back in time to save the lemur and bring it to the present. But to do so, Artemis will have to defeat a maniacal poacher, who has set his sights on new prey: Holly Short. Not narrated by Nathaniel Parker
I was really excited when I heard they re-did Book 6 with Nathaniel Parker. Not excited when, even though the title on the page says Narrated By Nathaniel Parker, it's in fact, not. Don't order until you sample for the narrater. Hopefully Audible will be reimbursing everyone's credit.

Enn Ritell completely destroyed this book!!!! I am listening to Mr. Parker and have to say that this is a completely different book. WHY DID AUDIBLE have such a hard time giving us the correct book. Why are they NOT giving us the books we want?? I tried to buy the from the UK site and could not.
The book is wonderful and Nathaniel Parker is a Gem.

This is now read by Nate Parker as advertised!!!
At last - this is now the version with Nathaniel Parker reading. I bought the CDs from amazon.com in the meantime, but I do prefer the audible download, so I'm glad to get this. I had downloaded the Enn Reitel when it came out a few months ago, but I much prefer Nathaniel Parker. So thank you, audible, for getting the Nathaniel Parker version. Please stick with him!

Colfer is great
I have read every Fowl book and I am an adult. My son read them until he was TOO OLD haha, and now my daughter reads them. All of us have enjoyed the books. Colfer has a whimsical way of blending fact, fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. He has a knack.
His stories some how always have a twist or two that keep me guessing and that is why I read his books. I am a continuous reader and can rip a story to shreds because of poor flow, grammer, or just plain poor plot. Colfer can keep me interested to the last word and I love it.
I am an adult. I am a Cardiac Anesthesiologist. I read constantly and I read Colfer.
Oh yes and the Time Paradox is a great adition to the Fowl collection.

Same problem
I too ordered the book because the description stated that it was narrated by Nathaniel Parker, but it was in fact narrated by Enn Reitel. And I too am still waiting for the error to be resolved and for my account to be credited. Now I'm leary of purchasing the book from Audible since I don't know whether I can trust the descriptions. Maybe I'll have to go to Amazon, which *does* have the Parker version.

I Was Duped
I waited to get the Nathaniel Parker version rather than the Enn Riotel version because Parker's is the only voice I wish to hear doing the Fowl series. Therefore, I was stunned when the Nathaniel Parker version I downloaded was actually the Enn Riotel version! If they ever correct the mistake and give me the Nathaniel Parker version, I will rescind this review, if not... shame on Audible for stealing my credit under false pretenses!

Clever ... but almost too clever...
This book takes the well loved characters and puts them in a situation where they don't have access to most of their usual arsenal of fairy devices to help them out, forcing them to have to rely on their wits instead. It's difficult to explain without any spoilers, but it felt at times as if the author was trying a little too hard to make the story clever to make up for the lack of gadgets, or just for the sake of being clever. Also, for the first time there was a proper cliff hanger at the end, there are always threads that carry over, but never such an obvious cliff hanger before. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, just unexpected. However I enjoyed the story, and it certainly kept you guessing, right up until the end. A couple of the twists I worked out well before the reveal, but just as many twists were red herrings. I'm looking forward to the next and last? book in the series.
Nathaniel Parker's narration was, as ever, fantastic, I can't imagine anyone else reading Artemis stories and voicing the characters.

splendid!! thank you for going the xtra mile!!!
audible, you rock!! I purchased this book knowing it was read by eoin reitel it was okay but I was like everyone else by being spoiled by the most excellent narration by nathaniel parker.
now all my characters speak the way my mind sees them again...and...I requested that audible make the change, your customer service rocks, there were a few brambles (some caused by me amazingly enough), however I am currently listening to the book once again...I feel warm and fuzzy, foley the centaur has his rather thick cockney accent once again, the world is turning in the right direction...my daughter will also love this too and she will just love listening to this over and over again just like all the other versions.
This was a fine story, we (my daughter and I) just love this series and we are simply giddy with excitement for book #7 to make it to your library.

Entertaining Artemis, again.
Enjoyed the narrator, the characters stay true and the basic story is interesting. It gets a little too "loopy" at the end when they try and straighten the final story out. Time travel books have a tendency to complicate a good story line. It was worth the listen.
