A sequel is much needed!

I've read this book 3 times and now I've listened to it. This is the best sci-fi story I've ever heard. Mr. Paulsen, a sequel will prove to be of high artistic production value. You have die hard fans for Transal Saga.

This book is just fun from beginning to end. I have now read/ listened to it 3 times. Every time it's as fun as the first. Please give it a try. It will grab you from the first chapter!

Great read!

This book brought back nostalgic feelings of when I read it as a kid. The ET Tarzan of the apes.

Uninspired/Derivative

This a a very basic John Carter derivative. No character development, worldbuilding through palette swaps, overly predictable plot. An unfortunate, but luckily brief, slog of a book.

Childhood Favorite!

I'll start by saying this book was my absolute favorite book in Middle School a few decades ago. Prior to being an adult I'd read the book a handful of times. Now as an adult I can see the clear Young Adult theme of the book but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. The narrator does a fine job and the story has a good flow and does well to keep your attention the whole time.

Loved it

I’m a Gary Paulson fanatic but this was different than most of his stories. It was cool to get style combined with scifi

Transall saga review

Gary paulsens writing has been with me for 25 years now! I keep returning to his mind where he has the ability to help you escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy in this case a whole new world in your mind. Narration was easy flowing and good to listen to. My 4th time on this book but first time listening. Loved it. My mundane and repetitive job at least affords me time to listen while I earn.
