Publisher's Summary

A USA Today best seller!

What's worse than having Rider Kingston, the star quarterback, give you the big brushoff because he doesn't want to get serious? You'd probably think living across the street from him where you get a firsthand view of his hookups, right?

That's what I thought. Until someone drops off a baby with a note pinned to her blanket that says one of those jocks - either Rider or one of his roommates - is the father. The problem? Baby mama doesn't mention which of these numbskulls is the sperm donor.

I wouldn't care about their paternity problems - not the slightest bit - except my brother lives there too. Which means that adorable squawking bundle might be my niece, and there's no way I'm leaving her unattended with those bumbling football players.

They need my help, even if they don't know it yet. Once we solve this dilemma and figure out who's the daddy, I'm out.

I'll just ignore Rider and those soul-searing looks he gives me every time I reach for the baby. He broke my heart three years ago. He won't get a second chance.

Exceptional!

This book was so amazing, I can’t emphasize it enough! The perfect mix of sexy, sweet, suspense and angst. Gabby and Rider had electric chemistry and were simply made for each other. And…I LOVE babies…so adding little Poppy to the mix made it even better. The bonus scene was swoon-worthy. Excellent narration. Don’t miss this one!!

Soooo Good!!!!

I loved this book! I’ve had it in my favorites for months and just now listened to it. The only disappointment I have is that I didn’t listen to it sooner. Such a beautiful love story. Rider and Gabby were adorable. I loved all the other characters too. I’m really hoping we will get to read books about the others. The epilogue was on point. Everything was wrapped up lovely. The narrators did a great job!!!

Good Story but a little hard to listen to at times

Overall I really enjoyed the story, it's a fun one and I've yet to read something from Lex Martin I didn't enjoy. I did struggle a bit with the male narrator, Alexander Cendese, all of the female voices were over the top annoying and cringy and the guys all sounded like Bill and Ted.... this could have been direction given or personal flare I have no clue but it was not my favorite. Vanessa Edwin did a fantastic job narrating the female POV and made up the difference.

Over dramatized

So the story started out good it was cute and entertaining until chapter 62 then it just turned childish Gabby is very immature and let’s self doubt determine her actions and Rider was immature at times to but he was also responding to Gabby and how she treated him other than that the story was ok but only good for one read.

Very good story!

I had read previous work from Lex Martin, so I knew I was likely to enjoy this book. I was not disappointed, the story was very engaging, and I fell so hard for sweet Poppy. Highly highly recommend the story.

Okay

Needed a better male vocal; some of the writing too sophorific and predictable. Could have been better.

wowza What a Story

What would you do if they guy you crushed on lived across the street and was a total man whore. You would have Gabby's problem then. This book grabs you from the first word and takes you on a ride you never want to get off of. Then narration adds that something special to the story. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Turned Out Well

Just started and I am only on chapter two when the narrator for Ryder's character comes in, and are you kidding me with this!! These are supposed to be college kids and the guy voicing Ryder sounds like an old man. Come on, please pick better narrators for your characters ages.
Finally finished listening and I do like the story, I'm definitely a fan of the baby daddy storyline. Vanessa was great as Gabby loved her, but it was a total cringe fest to listen to Alexander and all the voices he did. Really great HEA otherwise.

DNF

I'm sorry, but I couldn't even make it 1/2 way through. Where did all the good reviews come from? The premise of the story seemed intriguing but between it being so SLOW and the male narrators voice ( which isn't in the sample) I just couldn't force myself to finish it. What a waste.

average ...

Story: the book started off okay and had promise with the plot, but once the paternity test came back, the story just felt stagnant and dragged on and on. It probably didn't help that the characters were kinda 1d or 2d at best and was hard to get behind them (I was more interested in side characters than the main). The mmc had a horrible inferiority complex even though he's meant to be cocky/confident and the fmc suffers from intense abandonment issues that makes her distrustful. The two leads suffer from repetitive miscommunication and both draw their own conclusions over and over about one another. IMO at some point, word count seemed to take over any actual story weaving fell to the background. I skipped chapters to just move past the nonsense. You know it's bad when you can skip chunks of a book and feel like you've missed nothing.

Narrators: I like both and feel they fit the characters, but even the talent couldn't sell me on the book. The narration felt flat on various chapters and makes me wonder if they themselves like the book.

overall, not sure it's worth the credit. this was bought during a 3 for 2 sale and was sitting in my wishlist for sometime. I wasn't really sold on this author due to a previous read on a different book, but I liked the narrators so I wanted to give this author another try. Sadly, this book dragged on like the other.
