Publisher's Summary

The American Revolution of 1817 has begun, and Kip Penfold’s talents as a fire sorcerer make him a valuable weapon. He and his friends are swept into the conflict, taking the side of the rebels because they hope to win a better life in the new country. But an old enemy of Kip’s pursues him through the war, taking greater and greater steps to capture his power. It takes all the fox’s cunning to stay one step ahead—and then the rebellion betrays the Calatian people. Now Kip must decide which war he wants to win.

They keep getting better

Though I know there's a fourth book, the War and the Fox neatly carries on and completes the story arc established by the previous two books.

I NEED MORE!

I loved this story, and the two that came before it. Tim Susman/ Kyell Gold does an amazing job at making you fall in love with his character and care about them. Everytime one of the Calatian books I find myself want more and more of the story, and saddened knowing the story at somepoint has to end. Feels as though your saying good bye to a friend you may never see again.
