Only the most basic of information
If you’re new to exercising or it’s been a very long time and you’re out of the loop with nutrition and this was a good book for you. But if you have any foundation of nutrition and exercise don’t waste your time. It becomes more frustrating than anything else

Excellent health advice
I was pleasant surprised by how well researched and inspiring this audiobook is. Audiobook listeners also get a pdf download with worksheets, recipes and exercises. I’m enjoying the changes in my meals and believe the strength training routine (offered w different plan for different abilities) will getme to the point i need to be.

Uncomplicated and easy to establish
There is very little in this book that was unknown to me, however, what I didn't know, was the most crucial part!. I have always been slender but at 64 I am now struggling with a waist and stomach that is unflattering. I was able to start implementing the principles on day one because most of the "called" for foods were already in my home. In 1 week my energy has returned and I am capable of following this lifestyle absolutely anywhere. The parts that I think could have been left in the PDF is the reading off of what to eat and certain popular restaurants as I know that it would have been easy to read on my own at a later date. I applaud the authors for addressing the senior population and our specific needs. Thank you!

Disappointed
I enjoyed the book BUT there are FAR too many references to PDF’s w/o any guidance on how to access them. My takeaways are 3 meals daily, emphasize protein & fiber, and avoid sugars & sodium. This audio book would benefit greatly by providing the listener access to the referenced PDF’s.

Reads like an infomercial
Light on science backed information and heavy on vague refrences to research without any citation. Perhaps the ending chapters had real information and useful directions. I couldn't get past the 3rd chapter.

Where is the PDF?
I found the PDF by logging into my audible account on my desktop application. It can be downloaded from there. You cannot download it from the iPhone app it would seem.

Some books don’t translate well to audio
Whilst the fundamental message of this book is interesting, valid and well researched some books just don’t translate well to audio - and this is one of them! Often it is literally like listening to someone read out their shopping list. 100g chicken breast, 20g protein etc etc etc just couldn’t listen anymore.
Whilst it does come with a pdf that is very useful I recommend, if you are interested in this subject, that you get the actual book rather than the audio version.
