My favourite reading of this classic tale
The Wind in the Willows is one of my favourite children's stories and this my favourite audio version. It's an old recording so lacks the high quality sound that modern recordings do but the performance is excellent.
Mole is a timid and gentle creature who gains confidence after leaving his home and befriending the Toad, the Badger and the Rat. Rat is straightforward and outgoing, he lives by the river. Badger is a gruff but kindly character who lives in the middle of the Wildwood. Toad is a young, boisterous and reckless animal who learns humility through various trials and with the help of his friends.
