Publisher's Summary

Daxas has survived his first few weeks as a Dungeon.

He has successfully discovered several exploits in the system and has been thriving.

He is advancing to the second rank, fought off an invasion of orcs and goblins, and, most importantly, now has a lovely wood elf companion named Jessamyn.

However, success brings new challenges and new, more powerful challengers.

It's time for the Wolf King to expand his dungeon, cut down any who dare oppose him, and add to his harem of mates.

Meanwhile, the Divine Lords are plotting in the background, trying to engineer his downfall.

Can he survive? Probably; he is pretty awesome after all, and he plans to have plenty of fun along the way.

A Homage to Robert E. Howard's style

If I could describe this series in a few short words;
"What if Robert E. Howard wrote a Dungeon Core story".
A Machevilian story with an MC who uses both of his heads to outwit and defeat his enemies.

An enjoyable sequel

Devon Drake has given us a great sequel to an extremely enjoyable book. I liked seeing the his elf companion change and take a more active role within the dungeon. I also liked the new characters introduced and how the mc deals with all the greedy adventures. The narration was great as usual both Jonathan Waters and Maeve York continue to deliver excellent performances. I am looking forward to the next book.

Great Book 2

I really enjoyed the continuation to this series. I am really enjoying the thought process of the MC throughout all his decisions. This series is definitely headed in a good direction and I cant wait for the next book in the series.

Jonathan Waters and Maeve York are an amazing narration duo. Between the character voices and just telling the story in a way that draws you in, its awesome.

Cunning and ruthless MC, good continuation

Our MC continues being cunning and ruthless and I love it.
This story is like no other dungeon crawler before it.

Good narration, some mispronounced words that I would like to have corrected before the release of the audiobook.

Looking forward to the next installment.

so mad.... so loving it

the story is good. Uber powerful mc is fun and funny. I see true trouble coming to tax the mc which makes this an interesting build up. find who joins his harem, I have a bit of an issue with the amount and indepth delving of the sex. Though exploring an mc embracing his darker nature that is of at least average intelligence and above average cunning dealing with low maturity it all makes sense.

Definitely worth continuing on with the series

Right out front I'm going to say that I recommend this series. When it comes to reviewing a sequel, I am looking for everything that made the first book worth reading and then some. The first part of the first book was a little long in explaining the world in which the story was going to take place but now that that is done, we've just got awesome storytelling for the sequel. The author is relatively new, and this appears to be his first and only series. He writes under a pen name but from the explanation that I remember it was due to the fact that he loves money and power but is not so interested in fame. His explanation also included the fact that he was looking for a certain type of story and when he didn't find it decided to write the one he had been looking for. While I will admit that I've shared similar thoughts this guy actually went through with it, writing and publishing the book. For those who may not have started reading yet, our hero is something of a loser at the beginning which is common for these kinds of books and is summoned through a portal. Through some godly legalese he ends up becoming a dungeon core and more or less has a massive chip on his shoulder for how we got screwed. The first book in my opinion more or less established him in this new world which is essentially purgatory where damn souls get a second chance. The second book has him starting to make moves on those evil deities and even the good ones who may be less than noble. Of course, more women join his side in this fight, and we get an answer as to why the gods didn't just send him back to his own universe for his own form of afterlife. As of this review only the first two books have been given the audio treatment narrated by a fantastic pair of performers. Seriously I've got no notes and I've enjoyed their performances considerably. Books one through three are available as an eBook omnibus and books four and five are already out in eBook form. I like the fact that for the audio books the author has the narrators reading out the afterward. Not every afterward is worth that addition but when you have an author who is communicating to the readers and listeners beyond thank you and can you leave a review, I definitely appreciate it being added onto the audio version as well. I also appreciate him adding on the enemies and rivals’ summation along with the breakdown of final stats for the characters. With that said, well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this book to us the Audible listeners and Amazon readers. I look forward to what comes next.

better than the first and the first one was great

I was really looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint. maybe not as much action but lots of scheming and set up for what seems to be an epic third installment. both narrators were excellent. buy this book.

Looks like the story will become bad going forward

So first off why the change in the narrative? Like last book written in the MCs POV with his thoughts occasionally then while this continues that the MC talks in a "self aware" way and say off hand comments towards us as readers/listeners I don't know why that change its annoying especially with the constant unfunny jokes and the MC being an aussie?

He mentions "chips" and "barbie" those are usually regional terms and I don't know why he's suddenly using them the way he is.

Also there's another sly rape scene in this book like the first. The berserk chick didn't give consent and it's being played off as " I can smell her, she wants me". disgusting and the lack of concern about it from other reviews is wild.

And why the hell is the chastity goddess attracted to him? Because his auras? That makes absolutely no sense. So follow me real quick. His aura trash is 60? With women it's double to 120? And he's rank 4. Okay... People need to get to rank 100 to leave.. You following?...soo we can say the "gods" are way above that because why wouldn't people just rebel right?... But how strong are the gods that a rank 4 skill can effect? By that logic the sub wood elf could bend them all over with her dominant aura which was similar to his but weaker.... Makes no sense I know this is a harem story but I hate inconsistencies like this especially when this book is filled with stats.

This book feels like it's been written by another person. Like the original author wrote it but someone came to add their preferences to it. It's not a good addition either.

Lastly there's a bunch of errors, repeats, and long pauses in this book don't you have any test listeners or someome to make sure stuff like that isn't there? Don't rush publication if it's going to come to the books quickly.
