Publisher's Summary

Daisey Garrett wakes up in a hospital bed. She remembers her boyfriend has left her for another woman, but she doesn’t remember what happened to her the night she was attacked in her own home.

Daisey shouldn’t be alive but against all odds, she’s survived an ordeal most would never recover from.

But Daisey’s mind is broken. She’s on edge, drinking too much and, despite the painful breakup, finds herself in bed with her ex, Luke. And while she desperately tries to keep herself together, she can’t shake the feeling that she is being watched.

Yet the missing pieces of that fateful summer night are beginning to surface....

The lies she told the police.

The lies Luke told her.

Daisey’s memory is flickering like a faulty light bulb, flashing with images just out of reach.

She can’t remember. She mustn’t.

An absolutely gripping, addictive story, The Woman Inside takes you within the tangled mess of people’s lives and the dark secrets they hold close. Perfect for fans of Gone Girl, Before I Go to Sleep and The Wife Between Us.

I wanted to love it.

I’m no sleuth, but it was incredibly predictable. The type of listen you can miss 3 chapters and yet not miss a thing. Good narration though.

4 hr left & think I've worked it out. disappointed

I'll update in a day but if I have, I feel a bit cheated as there's a lot of book left!
enjoying the style though
however....HOW MANY MORE TIMES IN BOOKS DO I HAVE TO HEAR THE WORDS....SOLAR PLEXUS!!!!!
It is seriously becoming annoying. I was a nurse once and I didn't hear it as much!
along with the phrase, the smile didn't reach their eyes!
thinking of starting a group for books that have both in!🤣

yep. shouldn't have been a surprise bearing in mind the title but there was one more solar plexus and smile reference!
perhaps there's a secret competition between authors to see who can use it more!

didn't enjoy this as much as previous titles in the series as storyline was a little crazy and it was too obvious. I think when listening to a story, you pick up on certain moments as important and may be referenced a few pages along whereas when reading , perhaps you'd forget them.

Excellent narrator.

Easy to suss out early on but love Dan Riley and his sidekick Davis so still enjoyed it. The narrator is brilliant and I plan to listen to more he has narrated. This is the 4th Dan Riley book and I'm wondering why the author keeps killing off cats!!!

Do not buy

This may be the worst book I’ve ever read/listened to.

The story is basic and predictable, with aspects which make me uncomfortable regarding what could be perceived as transphobic.

The individual characters are underdeveloped and have been seen thousands of times before. With terrible character progression.

The writing genuinely sounded like something one of my year 11’s would be writing and didn’t flow or sound like believable conversations.

I have been an audible customer for almost 13 years and this is the first book I genuinely couldn’t finish and had to stop listening to. Save yourself the money and listen to something else.

Just wanted it to end

Interesting enough at first but far too repetitive and dragged out. Was obvious from the start who the perpetrator was not so the twist to be fair.

Devoured this in one day, absolutely brilliant!

Another fantastic book in the Dan Riley series. I enjoyed the topic, the way it makes you guess and the narration from James is just wonderful. I have a new favourite author! I really cannot wait until her next book.
