Love thy neighbor, 'tis said. A fine idea, except when the neighbor in question is Lord Holden. Lady Helen Tiernay has complained frequently about his treatment of his people. Too frequently perhaps, for the king intends to curb their constant bickering by ordering them to wed. Helen can't refuse a royal decree, but she'll do everything possible to drive away her devilishly attractive husband-to-be.

Publisher's Summary
A laird’s daughter kidnaps a Highlander - and loses her heart...in New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands’ new historical romance.
Lady Evina Maclean has heard much about Rory Buchanan’s skill as a healer. What she hasn’t heard is how good the brawny Highlander looks bathing in a waterfall. But Evina can’t afford the distraction, for her ailing father urgently needs care. Only when she’s rendered Buchanan unconscious and dragged him back to her family’s castle does the truth emerge - it’s not Rory she’s kidnapped but his brother, Conran.
Other ladies try to ensnare Conran with flattery. Evina hits him over the head with the hilt of her sword to save her kin - and Conran likes the spirited redhead all the more for it. He’s learned enough from his brother to heal Evina’s father, but there are other dangers swirling around the Maclean clan. And while the beautiful, independent lady has sworn not to marry, this wrong Highlander may be just the right man for her.

Nothing Wrong With Narration
I feel compelled to write a review of this audiobook mainly to assure listeners who may be put off by other reviews that complained about the narration. There is nothing wrong with the narration. I listen lots of audiobooks, and consider myself a better good judge of narrators, and one of my main criteria is whether the narrator gets in the way of the story. In other words, does he or she distract me from the author’s story. This narrator did not. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end without thinking about the narration at all, except maybe to think what were those other reviewers talking about.

Disappointing
I’m new to Audible, having joined only recently in order to listen to the Outlander series. I finished that and decided to try something else. I am disappointed that the narration is so very different. Too fast, too flat, it sounded as though the narrator was bored and just wanted to be done.
The story was okay. It’s a romance novel. I will listen to another Lynsay Sands book but not this narrator.

Conran is the exceptional man, we all wish we had!
The Wrong Highlander is a wonderful addition to the Highland Bride Series. The narrator was great. I loved the voice he did for Conran. It fit the character's personality and was sexy as hell. Each book I read I think this brother is my favorite. Well now Conran takes that spot, at least until I read Geordie's story. Evina is also a well done character. She is smart, independent, strong and more. some of the insight she gets in the novel about her family and herself are realistic. I also felt the chemistry between Conran and Evina despite ther rough beginning. The story is wonderful, the narrator fantastic. I highly recommend this one, to anyone looking for an escape!

Right highlander
Loved the story, Highlander romances are a guilty pleasure of mine and this is by far one of the best I’ve read... err ... listened to. I loved how the romance is pretty fast paced and the heroine isn’t a dainty lady. It makes for a far more interesting read.

Started out awesome... fizzled
So I have read all the books in the series to this point... this one just fell flat. The characters are flat, the story is a drudge to get through. Really felt no chemistry between the main characters and yet again we have a murderer on the loose and a lot of pointless sex scenes. It started out so well... very disappointed. This is the only book in the series I can say I would not read again.

another brilliant story
Another brilliant story of the series Highland Brides, loved it like I did all the previous ones. This is the 3rd time im listening to it and just couldn't stop just as much as the 1st and 2nd time. Brilliant narrating by Gary Furlong, he's definitely the best narrator of the whole series soi far. This is the 7 th book and there was a different narrator for each book but Gary Furlong was definitely the best one and I will be listening to more of him. Unfortunately the 8th book, Hunting for a Highlander is narrated by Joel Froomkin and I cant bear his voice, but I will still listen to it again as I would like to continue the series. Im really looking forward to listening to the 9th book, Highland Treasure, as it is narrated by Derek Perkins, and i love his voice, especially for the heros.
This book was definitely worth a credit like all the previous ones.
