Story
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin. Betraying them at the last moment, just when their glorious victory was on hand. I have been found again by the newest member of a quartet of dungeon crawlers. Poor fool. This time will be no different. Or does it have to be? Maybe I don't need to spend eternity left in a deep, dark dungeon waiting to devour would-be heroes. Maybe, just maybe, I can take him over and use this new identity to leave and masquerade as an adventurer myself.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

The Dragon that Just Keeps on Giving
To be brief, if you liked the first book, you’ll like this one. It continues with the same major themes and humor. The plot advances nicely, and the characters are still well written. The leveling system remains innovative in design and gets further fleshed out in this entry to the series.
The narrator remains the same from the first book, and their work is still extremely high quality.
The end does leave room for another sequel.

VAINQUEUR BEST DRAGON! VAINQUEUR BEST DRAGON!
Story - Awesome, & Hilarious. Maxime has done a great job crafting an enjoyable world and characters.
Performance - Jack Voraces does a fantastic job narrating every character. He gives everyone a very distinct and memorable voice. He also, I think, really goes beyond narrating to voice acting.
One criticism - Book and Audiobook both need proof-reading and proof-listening. In both prior books, there is an instant or two where the program enhancing Jack's Vainqueur voice drops and all we hear is Jack's voice, not Vainqueur's voice. As far as writing is concerned, there appears to be some typos, other grammatical mistakes & some weird inconsistencies, like for book 1, Victor's home country seemed to switch from England to America. Not big problems and certainly not enough to ruin my overall enjoyment, but someone really should proofread & proof-listen to these books to make sure that Maxime & Jack really submit their best.
Overall: VAINQUEUR BEST DRAGON! VAINQUEUR BEST DRAGON!

Comedy gold
I was given the first book for free to review and then I went ahead and bought this right after I finished it and these are really great. there's so many references and it's not only comedy so it's not like slapstick only or anything like that it's got really good story and plot overview overall it's good it's a mix between a great fantasy story and some great comedy.

loved the book Jack forces was great sure there were some dull parts and there weren't that many parts with the cobalt rangers and a lot more of all the girl characters but no major complaints I just hope the next book won't take 9 months even though there are already a bunch of other books in the series and there isn't enough patience for an other 9 months especially because covid postponed so many books witch is annoying because the authors have nothing else to do, it's ether write for money ore binge game of thrones and I can guess what most authors did during quarantine

Joint review for book 1 - 3
Since I listened to book 1-3 in one go, this review covers the first three books.
Quite fun series about the Best Dragon (his own opinion) who befriends a lowly human after waking from a long nap. While sleeping, the lowly humans has discovered leveling and quests. And most important for the dragon, the shiny gold coins completed quests will grant as reward.
Narration/Performance: With exception of the voice of the Dragon which felt artificial, the narration was overall good, and gave life and individuality to the different characters.
Story: A houmous take on LitRPG with just a few status updated along the way. These first three books do not quite manage to engage me enough to make me crave more. On the positive side, the side characters lift the listening experience.
After listening to the first three books, will I buy the fourth and last? Yes, mostly just to get the conclusion to Victors love life.

Gold as the Emperors hoard
Greatly adored this second book of the glorious Emperor Vainqueur and his sarcastic Chief of staff Victor.
Hilarious, witty, brilliant with its own inner and often bonkers logic and brought once again to full vivid life by Jack Voraces. The performance is still absolutely brilliant with each voice distinct and so fitting to each character.
was a delightful hilarious piece of entertainment. If you loved the first book I think others will greatly enjoy this romp back to the world of the V&V Empire.

Story
Our future. Noncitizens and individuals of low social standing can only find work in one place: the virtual world of Disgardium. And that might mean mining ore; it could just as well mean cleaning pigsties or washing dishes in a tavern, but that's about as glamorous as it gets. Fifteen-year-old schoolboy Alex has dreams of working as a space guide. All he can think about is the stars, but life gets in the way, and now his only path to achieving that goal is through the game.

With his once friend's sword piercing his chest, he cast his last spell. Unintended by even him, his spell incorporates a legendary item that results in the world being cursed. Now over a thousand years later, a certain sorcerer once again wakes...and he is not happy. Alessa has been on the run for years. Never stopping in one place for long.
